I registered on the Sunday just after the email came out (I believe it was a Thurs?) and received mine yesterday arvo. So under 2 weeks for me

Interesting, I registered Saturday morning and nothing so they must not be sequential. Just called Velocity who said I needed to speak to Flybuys, they put me through to Flybuys who said I need to speak to Virgin - classic

Logged in and noticed I've ticked over to explore gold now. Interesting to note I only required one additional sector and 80 SCs to maintain it.

Received my second Explore Gold offer last month and I took up the offer. Was looking at deeming a flight via VFF and saw my status changed to Explore Gold yesterday.

Alas, wouldn't be able to take advantage too much this time as most of my flights next few months are on QF thanks to the DSC offer.

Mine now received, but no idea when I applied, sorry! This is the second VA Explore Gold I've had within the last 12 months courtesy of FBs. Still yet to make or even plan to make use of it...

Mine came through on Saturday night. Just in time for our return flight from SYD to BNE yesterday afternoon. Confirmation emailed received this morning. I applied Saturday, 2 weeks ago.

Just a quick question to those more knowledgeable in this areas than myself. Does the change to full Gold status kick in as soon as you reach the qualification of 80 SC and 1 sector or does it only occur at the 3 month review date?

Based on my experience (I got this in the previous round of Explore Gold / Flybuys offers), it's at the review date. Have achieved the 80SCs and 1 sector and these have posted to my account but the account still shows as "explore gold". My review date is tomorrow so I expect it to change to proper Gold then...

(That's a good thing though as it means you get a minimum of 15 months of Gold -- the 3 months of explore and then a full 12 months of proper gold after that).

I got this in an email about status credits this morning (just started explore gold)

As you know, earning Status Credits is important to reach full Gold membership for a further 12 months. You'll need to earn 80 Status Credits[SUP]&#126[/SUP] and fly 1 Eligible Sector^ during your three month trial period.

To me, that's implying that by the end they'll add another 12 months making it 15 total.

Don't think so.

The email I originally received for the offer back in March said: "In accepting this invitation, you will also be placed on the fast-track to maintaining full Gold membership for a further twelve months[SUP]6[/SUP] if you complete reduced requirements of earning 80 Status Credits[SUP]7[/SUP] and fly at least one Eligible Sector[SUP]8[/SUP]."
