A first for me yesterday.
I was offered and granted 4pm checkout at the hotel I had yesterday (graciously offered as I was "almost" Bonvoy Platinum - one stay away ).
However I returned to my room at about 3:40/3:45pm to freshen up and change. Key got me into my room, and noticed the room had been made up. Strange. Then noticed my belongings (toiletries, some bathers and shorts T/shirt, sandals,) were gone. Eventually got through to reception and told someone had checked me out (but door key was still working?). I asked about my belongings, and told they would check with housekeeping, but I had to be out of the room in 5 mins.
No doubt Swiss efficiency.
No apology, no acknowledgement. Didn't get the chance to have a quick shower and change into my shorts/T-shirt for the train ride.
And I also discovered a 30ml bottle of EDT missing. They looked for it, but "must have been thrown out" . Waiting for some follow up today, but not holding my breath, the manager actively hiding in the back room and avoiding me. [oddly I decided to take my passport out of the safe that morning and take with me to the office].
Anything like this happened to anyone?
