I'll be doing a FIFO and enjoying some corporate hosptiality
Another one to cross off my bucklet list
and it will be only the second AFL game I've ever attended :(
Hoping the Swans are there!

After last night, if Essendon win this I'm going back for hawks vs wce mk 2

Want revenge

Big cats supporter here, would be a dream come true to snag another premiership from outside the top 4. If anyone can do it this Geelong team has a chance.

As a Richmond supporter I am untroubled by finals. I can safely book september holidays in January and not fear missing anything.

Don't worry mate. The dynasty is about to begin and anyone who is old enough will realise in the coming years why they used to hate us so much.
We are going to the worst winners imaginable. And I can't wait to rub everyone's noses in it.

Besides the fact I now live in MEL, my team won't be travelling here until the granny :D

Love to see pies make it but hawks too strong this year, they have to be odds on favourites!

How many teams over the last decade or so (?since they have had the current final eight routine that we now follow) I don't recall many (if any) team winning from the bottom four. It is a big ask you basically have to win every week and you have no week off to recover. Where your opposition very well may have had a week off to recover from any niggling injuries etc.

Big ask to win from the bottom four.

Oh, and... Carn PIES!

We just have to be there to see the Dockers play this weekend coming so yes we will be in Melbourne.

The Crows won from 5th in 1998, IIRC that was the only time a team outside the top 4 has won. I managed to get tickets to the GF :D

As a passionate bulldogs member I'll also be going interstate on GF weekend, the wife and Kids on the other hands are Hawks. Life is very different for them.

NRL not AFL but I just booked flights for my husband to see Souths play Storm next Saturday night. Thankfully I "have" to stay home to look after the animals :)

I'm finding this thread very confusing. It was my understanding that (maybe because of meatloaf?) the finals were cancelled this year? If I recall correctly, this decision was made last week when Carlton lost to that U18s team up on the gold coast :?:

I'm tempted to fly to Adelaide...;)
