Has anyone applied for any of the three cards twice ? If so, was the second application approved ?

Received my Black cards. Tried to contact the Personal Concierge via 1300 580 765 to order my two complimentary Qantas Club Lounge invitations, but that number wont connect. Anyone else have trouble?

That was the number I rang, seems to work ok?

(Received my invites about 3 days after ordering)

Just applied via online system. Approved in the 60 seconds, and I have to say, their online interface is pretty nice.

I've had approval for the standard card, just waiting for the pack to arrive.
Much less hassle than I thought it would be :)

An enexpected bonus: eldest had a few NZD left over from his rugby tour. Forex fee waived in the branch as I am now an ANZ customer-exchange rate nothing special but NAB & Westpac wanted $8-10 on a $60 transaction

Yeah, approved for the black. Just phoned to check as I didn't hear anything after being told they'd call me at the end of last Thursday, and apparently the packs in the mail.

What a painful process…. referred onwards to somebody and received a text to call them. Not happy with a $15k existing limit ($0 outstanding) with an income of $100k+! Apparently I can't afford to live they tell me. I was ready to tell them to stick it however I decided to "call the other bank and reduce my limit" and the guy said that should work. We shall see…. Almost not worth it for a blue card that I'll only throw in the bin!

I know how you feel. I had terrible trouble w' the Citi free for life that came up a while ago. This was easier by far. It may still work out for you.

Yeah it's painful. It's been referred to a "supervisor" however the last one I spoke to was the most condescending little s**t I've dealt with in a while. Pretty offensive to be basically called poor and unable to support anything at all.

Hang in there, you're way ahead of me. I got an instant rejection and have been sulking ever since :-|

So it sounds like the three of us are about the only ones having issues

I said that my outgoings were $12K pa, and they seemed to accept that.

I've had a different issue. I signed up for the basic card and was approved. Received stuff in the mail on Friday and I had to go into branch to verify my ID. Went down on Saturday and they couldn't access my account to activate it. They copied my ID and said they'd call early Monday and get it resolved. Didn't hear from them all day so went back down at 3. Dude at ANZ waited on the phone for 30+ minutes with their internal support centre in India and never got through, so they're still unable to access my account to verify it. Awesome.

They're pretty hopeless. Checked in with a family member today who sent documents 10 days ago and hadn't heard anything.

Called today, spoke to someone who said "oh the documents weren't clear". Forwarded the same email and funnily enough they could read it this time. When asked why they didn't call to ask for the documents again just got a "umm, dunno. Maybe we would have called eventually".

I got an Aussie person to check by phoning 1800 076 113.

Did that last Tuesday and was told that they lost my ID details (which they found when they actually checked). After which I was informed that they now needed payslips, even though I was originally told on the 8th that I was approved.
