ANZ Platinum, 50k bonus QFF points after $1500 spend, no annual fee first year

I was going to get the Velocity Amex which has 50k points for a $349 annual fee. This 50k for $95 QF seems like a much better deal!

You could also get the NAB Velocity premium card. 40k for $150.

Just got my first statement and no QF number was recorded on their system and rang the call centre to be told my transactionactivity points would post on next statement

They also advised the 50k bonus points would come on statement 3 as many people had cancelled their new ANZ cards when they got the 50k points in month 1.

Maybe they read this thread!!!

Not complaining. Just an observation. As per the T's&C's I could be waiting for another 2 months.

T&C when I signed up said 4 months after the eligible spend. In my case, a couple days after my first statement.

If you transfer or cancel your new ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card account before the introductory bonus Qantas Points are processed to your account, you may become ineligible for these bonus Qantas Points.

Looks like I need to wait 3 more months for the bonus pts, which takes me to late Jan 2015! Lucky the first year is free....

I missed seeing my statement and subsequently didn't pay the minimum fee by the due date. I paid the amount off entirely when I noticed, but should this indiscretion affect the awarding of the bonus points?

I hope not because the same thing happened to me. I paid off the entire amount due 1 day late according to the online portal. I've never received a single statement from ANZ in the past 3 months. This would be reason enough to ditch the card.

interesting....+1 got an email notification that her statement was available, so I went online to pay her bill. I then checked mine (no email notification) and found my statement online, and I paid it. Next day, I received a paper statement for my account....patiently (not!) waiting for the 100K pts to hit...PS the other way you know that your statement is out is when you notice the deposit of pts from ANZ into your QF account

Stringing out the bonus points only makes me more determined to ditch the card. This is the promotion you have when you don't want to have a promotion.
