Just to clarify and to avoid the need to read back over 86 pages, can one apply for more than one of these cards and get another 50,000 points?

I recall reading some posts where bank staff suggested you could (to the point that they were applying for them themselves) but has anyone actually done this and been awarded the extra 50,000 points? I have already been approved for the base level card and am tempted to apply for the next card up.

cheers Peter

So your credit rating hasn't been adversely affected by applying for so many cc deals, or alternatively the banks haven;t twigged on that you are chasing the points and refused your applications?

I personally have never been knocked back for any CC application, bank loan etc...

I have received verbal confirmation from an ANZ regional manager that I will receive 50k for my Black and 50k for the entry level card. The manager mentioned that both her and several of her staff had applied for more than one variety with a view to doing the same.

Yes my hubby applied for the black about 1 week before the original cut off (26 August) and received his 50K points this week.

Is anyone else having dramas with the ANZ online banking system? I have never used an online portal that is so slow to show transactions or which is laid out so badly.

I usually keep a very close eye on incomings and outgoings, and it frustrates me no end not being able to see what's happened for days after a transaction. Have I just been lucky in the past being able to see transactions as soon as they happen with other banks, or is ANZ as bad at this as I think it is?

Yes to all of this. They really are that bad. It really is that frustrating and I find myself constantly stating/repeating that their online banking and banking aps are well behind the competition. Sadly I don't see it changing in a hurry.

In any case, I got this mostly for the points so I doubt I will be keeping this in the long run.

This is apparently normal, based on the anecdotes of a few family and friends who are ANZ customers. I do find it odd for a big 4 bank to have such a poor online portal.

I don't think you will be alone on this one!

+1 I took out the basic card and since going into a branch at the end of July to verify my details the only correspondence I have received from ANZ is a letter offering me a credit increase. No emails, no statements, nothing. This is despite me spending $1500 in the first week of August. I have since gone online (not via the App as that's useless) and managed to view and pay a statement.
Very average experience thus far and pretty sure I'll be dumping the card as soon as the bonus points hit my account.

I feel somewhat better that I'm not the only one frustrated with their abysmal processing times for transactions on their online system, but now even more bewildered than before that they haven't done something about. Surely they don't think that this is normal in 2014?

As soon as the bonus points come through and I've got another intro offer to pick up elsewhere I'll be dumping ANZ as quickly as I can.

Are you sure about that as Me and Mrs have just had a cap applied to ours

1 x plat and 2 x black still uncapped. The plat will get capped sometime in the 2015 but the blacks are still good and CBR friendly

I don't think they've worked that out yet. Maybe their calendar is a little behind. There seems to be a delay like their online portal...and everything else.

wise move..

Card and PIN finally arrived whilst I was away on FIFO swing. Just in time to lump new term school fees on it and hit the spend required. Will see how long it takes for points to arrive.

Wasn't a hard process to get the card, but the lack of communication as to where my application was at, are slightly disappointing... but not earth shatteringly so.

Well if my experience is anything to go by you may get them oh say in 2015. ;) Mine are still not in.
