I heared that QF now sends points by snail mail... ;)

Will do its 14th Nov.

Friends have their new ANZ QFF cards, one had points 1st statement other nothing after 2nd, its a ridiculous situation.

Actually I don't mind ANZ Internet Banking at all. I have home loan package with them and I find Internet banking pretty good! I certainly have seen worse internet banking.

It hasn't been too good for me so far sadly.
Despite signing up for online statements I have never received a single email notification from ANZ.
After I'd spent the $1500 on this card I logged on a day too late to pay the bill that I wasn't notified was due.
Checked last week and of course $40 in interest on the next bill. I called up and advised of the lack of statements and the charges were reversed. I was then put through to the Internet team to find out what the problem was. They can't find any problem.
(I have an Apple email which doesn't filter junk so that's not the issue).

Once the bonus points post I'm gone

I had the exact same situation, got the charges reversed but it was painful. I questioned them about the practice of making new customers feel welcome by hitting them on the very first statement with huge late fees but never got a reply.

We had same problem, only had cards 14 days got hit with interest, protested profusely had it (interest) reversed.

Seems at ANZ cards the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing :-|

Did they also reverse the $20 late payment fee?
I'm in the same boat as Princess Fiona. Will have to call them up when I get back home next week.

So im thinking about signing up for the redards (non-QFF one as all points are with virgin) which would net 22 200 points whats the requirements for the black? (anual income) anyone know? would be intrested for the lounge access ect. Otherwise im thinking about going for the citi fee free for life with 1 to 1 on visa.

any recommendations?

I've got a better one (ANZ, but not this card).

18 months or so ago I got an ANZ Platinum card for a 0% balance transfer. Reached the end of the 0% period, paid it out, closed the card.

6 months later I get a nastygram from ANZ about unpaid balance (+some penalty fees).

Turns out 3 months after I thought I'd closed the card, they'd charged the annual fee to it. 3 months after that it obviously triggered some late payment threshold. Spent half an hour on the phone before they managed to dig up the original record of the card being closed 6 months earlier. All charges then were, of course, reversed.

In my adventures in Australian banking, I'm still yet to find anyone who does it better than CBA (from a customer service and systems usability perspective).

I don't remember if it's been posted here, but for those who have received the bonus 50k, did that come at the same time as the normal monthly deposit of points? As a separate deposit or combined (if so)?

Same time, and they appear on the ANZ online account earlier too.

I will be cancelling my cards just before the twelve months is up. I only got the Basic card with 1k limit. Hubby will be keeping his Black card, and instead he will be cancelling our Westpac Black cards which have been our main cards for years. With no status, the lounge access (along with points on BPay) will make the ANZ better value.

Don't forget to look into the cost of an additional card ($10?pa) for yourself romney as this will also give you overseas lounge access.
Not sure if riging up for 2 more QP passes will work but also worth a try.

Thanks Buzz - already onto it! Can also get additional cards for the kids since they are (or will be by April when I need it) over 16, so all four of us will get lounge access :-)

Mine came at the same time. There was something like 55,000 points posted to my account.

I just applied and got the ANZ Black rewards as well the other day.... the visa is better than the QFF visa.

ANZ QF Black Visa earns 0.75PPD.

ANZ Black Rewards earns:
Asia Miles = 3:1 = 0.66PPD Visa
Velocity Points = 2.25:1 = 0.88PPD Visa (1.056PPD with 20% transfer bonus)
KrisFlyer = 3:1 = 0.66PPD Visa (0.8PPD with 20% transfer bonus)
Air NZ = 200:1 = 0.01PPD Visa
