After two full statements no word of the bonus points. They better be on the third statement, I past the minimum spend in the first month.
They post the points 3 months after the card is activated (providing you have spent the required dollars) regardless of when you reached the threshold

My father got his 2 months after card received. Spend limit reached within 3 weeks of activation.
When you log into online banking, can you see the bonus points after clicking the rewards tab on the left side of screen ??

The sooner you cancel the better in order to wait out the mandatory 12 months period before applying for a new offer.
Just on this - are there any long term repercussions if one cancels cards soon after bonus points are credited? Do CC providers keep some form of record of this?
No repercussions from my experience. An I churn a LOT. At least 12 cards a year.
The thing to be aware of is that some banks, like ANZ, have a 12 month exclusion period before you can re-apply. So the sooner you cancel the better.
The banks have caught on to this already, that's why ANZ have the 12 month clause and coulee just as easily extend that to 24, 48 or "forever" (as some American banks have done). But realistically the churn ears are in the minority here, you just think this is much more prevalent because of the company you keep (ie other AFFers). There is of course the theory that if everyone does this, banks will catch on to it. The danger I personally think is that if a large enough portion of the population did that, we might lose points + no annual fee offers, but points offers that still have an annual fee (eg the recent 80k QF amex premium) might stick around as the $250 annual fee offsets the cost of points somewhat.
Oh how I would love to work in the area of finance that designed these offers.

Did you remember to order your lounge passes first?
Hi all
I hit the $2500 around 10 days ago, and yet the 75k is still not showing up on my ANZ online dashboard.
Called to query this, and the assistant told me the bonus points would not show up on my ANZ dashboard until 3 MONTHS after I had hit the spend trigger, and that the points would sweep across to my QFF account on the same date.
This seems significantly different to others' experiences on here. Should I call back and speak to someone else?
