They are all pay wave - tap and go is an android phone payment method I think

If you pay ATO on this card you get zero points and it is treated as a cash advance so interest starts at their usual rate on everything you do from there.

Thanks for the heads up. A good warning.

A cute way for ANZ to make some money or even a lot of money.

Not nice...I didn't read all the info that came in the mail as I have no intention of using this card again...I'm hoping for a 15% Velocity pts TF bonus next month so I can clean my account out before I close the account.

That was my intention as well. There is just not enough perks with this card to justify the annual cost so I am out as soon as I can transfer. Nice boost into the KF account though without having to do much more than I would do anyway.

You could still use these ANZ cards for personal stuff like fuel and groceries at places that take an Amex without a fee.
Just not a great idea to start a new month with anything ATO related as you would pay interest and more interest if you ignore the issue that you did a cash advance from paying those fiscal fiends for zero points.

Sorry, i'm sure this has been asked before but how quick do they allocate the bonus, i've more than spent the minimum and just received my second statement and not bonus yet. Do you normally have to wait the full 3 months?

Mine just posted. I can see it under the rewards tab on ANZ Internet banking. This card directly sweeps each month so I have to wait until the end of statement month before they transfer. This is the second month since reaching the minimum spend.

This card auto sweeps each month to your Qantas FF account. No velocity on this particular card

Do ANZ issue this card all by mail or do they make you collect card at branch and verify ID at branch?

Mine was all by mail

Mail for me.

Only ever had to go to a branch for St George and NAB.

Received mine by mail. My points posted yesterday - 5 days after payment of the last bill where I hit (and leapt way over) minimum spend.

My bonus points points just hit my QFF account - within the second statement cycle. So refreshing after my dramas with NAB and their inability to provide VFF points as promised.

I'm going to keep this card for a few months - it will grant me lounge access at AMS and PRG.

As people are stating, the cards get delivered by mail, however since I have never been an ANZ customer I had to go to a brand to confirm my identity and setup the card which was a bit annoying.

What was annoying for me was that I was an existing customer but a mess-up with the system meant that I had to go in to verify my identity and sort it out. Somehow (possibly during a batching process) my given and last names were replaced with a series of numbers. The person at the branch insisted that I had made a mistake and she sees it all the time - even after I pointed out that my card had my first and last name correct (WTF!).

You're not alone. ANZ customer service is atrocious in my experience. I know of multiple people who've had similar problems, including the issue of cards for an account different to that which they signed up for!

I've had an issue with mis-matched account name and card name twice out of three ANZ credit cards I've held. Each one has required multiple visits to a branch (attempt to verify ID, and then subsequent attempt to verify ID after correct cards are issued). The only positive about ANZ customer service I've encountered is that you can cancel the accounts through their (clunky) online banking portal and avoid a tedious wait on hold to their cancellations dept.
