Hi all
I currently hold the Amex issued Qantas Premium card (80k points deal).

Will signing up to this deal, which sees me issued with a bank-issued Amex & Visa clash with the above or render me ineligible in any way on either offer?

I'm guessing i'm fine because one of the Amex cards is Amex issued direct, whereas the other is ANZ issued?

You should be right, for the reasons you have listed. As long as you don't hold another card from the bank you plan to apply for.

As I understand it one can have both an ANZ Rewards and an ANZ FF set of Amex/VISA cards as they are considered different products.

I was concerned about a possible clash between my Amex QFF Premium Card and the ANZ Visa/Amex combo, but the two 'Amex products' seem to be sufficiently arms length from one another.

From a points perspective no problem.

Bank issued Amex has nothing to do with Amex issued directly

yes they are independent of each other.

You will receive and earn points in accordance with T&C of each of the respective cards

According to the credit card selector on the Qantas site, the ANZ offer is now good until the 11th of May. Until yesterday it was still saying the 24th of March, which is a year to the day since I closed my previous ANZ card. I was all set to apply tomorrow, and take my chances on their interpretation, but now that it's been extended I'm going to wait bit longer, so there can be no doubt about it being at least 12 months.

Again, apologies for my newbie inquiries - I have applied for and received a ANZ Visa Black through the link here - they threw in an ANZ Black Amex Card as well - how to I link this to my QFF account so that points are appropriately credited? I can't see anything on my ANZ bank site or on my Qantas account - actually, having read through the accompanying paper work, I can't see anything about the QFF scheme - it is not listed anywhere in the documentation (nor for that matters the bonus points offer) - is there a risk I have ended up with a non-QFF card?

To answer some of the questions...

-If you have the ANZ black QFF card, the physical card has QANTAS FF in the top left corner on the front of the cards.

- Only you would know which cards you applied for.

- When you log into internet banking, menu item on the left side says " rewards points". If you click that you can see your points accrued. For the QFF card your FF number and your name is displayed. If you have the QFF card and have not quoted your QFF number you can call them to advise the details.

- This product is both Visa and Amex so you will have 2 cards for the 1 account. ANZ did not "throw" an extra card in. It is 1 account with both cards attached.

I think there has been a cross over somewhere and I have ended up with the generic ANZ Black rewards, not the QFF rewards package ah well, on the phone tomorrow to see if I can fix...

Thought I'd give it a go and got instant approval for 15K credit limit.

My credit rating had been lowish for quite a while since I got the st george vertigo card last year. Within a week of cancelling it my rating jump 150 points.

Might have to churn cards a bit faster to partake of bonus offers a bit more regularly.

Spend limit reached within 48 hrs of card arrival. Points posted at the end of second cycle.
