Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

It was bought in last year after ANZ stuffed up and allowed multiple applications for similar cards at the same time. IE, you could get 3 different cards each with 50,000 points at the same time.
Thanks. I don't recall seeing that term before.

If that is what they were trying to achieve, the ambiguity around what 'this offer' means isn't helpful.

I think the question was more relating to once per customer per lifetime... regardless of the card type. It is somewhat open to misinterpretation.

If you pay ATO on this card you get zero points and it is treated as a cash advance so interest starts at their usual rate on everything you do from there.

Interesting I have Westpac Altitude Black and last year I was behind with Tax I did 3 years in one hit and I owed in all of them (Normally I get refunds) anyway. When I went to pay tax bill ATO with Westpac Altitude still earned points but at reduced rate with Amex 1.5 points per $1 instead of 3 points (no point are earned if you pay using Black Mastercard), however just before I went to pay Altitude put out an offer that if you payed ATO bill using Black Amex and it was at least $500 and you payed by 31-Oct then you received 20k bonus points :) needless to say I payed my $650 tax bill before 31-Oct.

Applied on Friday, cards received on Wednesday. Had to go in branch to setup a PIN because they hadn't arrived yet (good thing I work inside a Westfield).
All up and running with Apple Pay as well on both my phone and watch.

Bring on the points (again)!

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I cancelled mine a smidge over 12 months ago, so hopefully I could get this again, IF it is the best deal right now, which is what I am trying to find out now?

As a side comment, for those cancelling cards within their bankmail, you don't have access to that record do you after the bank takes you off line? How how to get a receipt ... a letter that may not get through and doesn't prove when / if you sent it. A personal email if you can get an address?

75,000 points for $0, a relatively low min spend and various lounge benefits - a pretty good deal imho.

I called their number twice to specifically confirm when my previous card was cancelled and then left one week buffer zone before re applying. I also cancelled with bank mail so had no paperwork but u figure the calls would have been recorded

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Yes, a good deal on this. Is there anyone on here who may benefit from my application? If not, I may use the Point Hacks link as they'll get $150 which helps them keep giving us some info. I used one one of their links for another I card I got recently.

Re the bank keeping a record of calls, I had a bank discussion about a card about 18 months ago and suggested they go back to the calls discussions and I told them the date and time. They declined to even try as they said, "not all calls are recorded". Whatever the real reason was, I don't know.

Perhaps they can give you a reference or receipt number for your call. Some call centres do.

How much did people spend last time on the card?
Just the 7.5k? Then cancelled....... I had it but don't remember 7.5k spend!

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just went back over documents.... Seems I got it letter confirmation June 2014...... But cards July 2014
So CARDS expired July 2015.
I have a closed account letter for JUNE.
So does that mean June or July 2016 before apply?
Also it was $1500 spend.
I got $10k cash out with no charge from it and then balance transferred the debt to another CC fit 12 months interest free also.
2280 points Amex spend on gift cards as well as the 50k in qff points!
Moved the QFF passes too ;)

The way I read it is the date on your letter from ANZ of cancellation of the old card is the date plus 1 year (and maybe 1 week), you need to adhere too before reapplying. You could perhaps call the card people and ask what they think 1800 076 113. Let us know the outcome.

Success. Re- Applied 12 months and one day after my cancellation of previous card. Confirmed by phone that I would qualify so applied online. Emailed in copy of income and SMS approval 40 minutes later.

Just applied for this....I think Im approved
Sorry if this has been asked or mentioned....but regarding the min spend to get the points - has this been changed to just 1 eligible transaction of any amount.
I cant see where it mentions $2500 or any min amount

Does appear to have changed:

"75,000 QANTAS POINTS
AFTER FIRST ELIGIBLE PURCHASE
WITHIN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS"

NOTE: The annual fee does not appear to be waived for the first 12 months anymore.

Noticed this morning looks to be not annual fee free first year any longer as well.

Edit - ANZ black rewards as well - 10am this morning was still annual fee free and old offer (as i sent a friend the link). 11:30 now annual fee applied & slightly different offer. 10am QFF version had already changed.

I assume that you took a screenshot and kept a record of your application.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Nope. It shouldnt be hard to get out of the fee if they do charge me. More worried about the points :P

That's too bad. I applied on Saturday and must have just scraped in.

That does suck, was meaning to take one of these out a bit later this year... But not paying $400+...

Hopefully they will have special offers from time to time to drop first year fee or they will go back to it at some point...
