Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

My 12 months is up so went for it again and I actually had a good experience applying for ANZ this week. Applied Monday night, got a call Tuesday morning to clarify some things. Approved Tuesday afternoon and cards arrived by Friday.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I called up on Tuesday after not hearing anything for a few days since uploading my documents and they just needed to verify my mortgage situation. Once that I was done I was approved and cards arrived yesterday - just need to activate and hit that spend limit!

Do we have a clear answer on whether you need to book qf flight to get lounge passes including award booking

You can just call ANZ and request the passes (it's in the condition paperwork)

Just call them. No need to book a flight.

I've got myself into a bit of a pickle... Anyone know the best way to find out when I cancelled this card last year ?

I'm assuming you keep records?

If so:

1) Check the date you sent the letter of cancellation or made the phone call to cancel

2) Check the date of your last received statement.

3) Check your bank statements to see when you made the last payment to this account.

If you don't want to call then and still have access to internet banking, you should be able to see statement for closed accounts. Last statement date + 1 month should be safe. ANZ also sends an email when you have a new statement so you could check email date for the last statement and add one month. Calling them might be the best way to get a precise date. I have everything recorded in a spreadsheet so not sure if ANZ can tell you.

Thanks, thanks and thanks.

I don't want to call. So I have access to some (not ANZ), internet banking. I keep records but not very organised, so it's probably easier to search my emails for e-statements. Maybe I should keep a spreadsheet moving forward huh !!

Search for the letter you got from ANZ last year.

I scanned mine in. I should do a better job of keeping track of things like this. I haven't always done that.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

So does this card charge overseas transaction fees?

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Applied this morning and approved straight away.
We have property rates due at the end of the month so that should take care of the minimum spend. Nice that large bills now have an upside :-)

Yes. I did a comparison in another thread. It's fairly close (i.e. very minimal extra hidden commission) to the fees stated in the terms and conditions.

So 4/2 points dropped in Anz but how long before they auto transfer to Qantas FF?
