Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just bumping this was wondering whether anyone had the answer thanks

The gift card ones do, I use that almost exclusively as my way of triggering.

Which local council? I have not checked my statements but I would have recently paid mine on this amex and I feel like I would have noticed if the points were not awarded

Does anyone know if Woolies allow you to convert giftcard into Visa prepaid cards?

Oh sorry they're actually Eftpos from memory not actually Visa prepaid cards.

It will be up to the store if they approve it. But again I'd encourage you to look at any fees involved in activating the new card.

Yeah I know but if you're able to buy the giftcard from cashrewards for 5.5% discount surely that would offset the activation fee.

They're 5.95, so you lose money. Also, be aware they cannot be used to recharge Qantas cash, velocity global wallet, or Coles reloadable MasterCards.

All of the ones with points offerings as far as I am aware.

ANZ introduced this around 2 years ago after a massive failure which saw people apply for multiple similar cards simultaneously and score hundreds of thousands of points for free.

No, the 12 month exclusion applies to cards of the same points type. They have two "types" of cards. The "FF" ones (Qantas points) and the "ANZ Rewards" ones (their own "currency" which can convert to other points types).

So if you have say a FF Black, you have to wait at least 12 months before applying for any type of FF card (basic, plat, black) to get the bonus.
However you could apply for any type of "ANZ Rewards" card if you have not had any of the same type in the last 12 months and it would have no effect on the FF (Qantas) type of cards.

Are you sure?

The wording I can see suggests differently.

'This offer applies only once per eligible customer.'

Its Brisbane city council. But if the cashrewards gift cards are ok, then I can meet the minimum spend via that - I only have about $1200 left to spend before end of Jan

The question was: "Does the 12 month exclusion apply to all ANZ cards or just FF ones?"

Your other post included: "All of the ones with points offerings as far as I am aware".

Like I said, there are two "types" of ANZ "points" cards - QFF and their own "ANZ Rewards" types.

The sentence right before your quote states: "Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Gold, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card within the previous twelve months".

If you look at the ANZ Rewards Black equivalent of the "same" FF offer, it says this:

"Offer available to new and approved applicants who apply for an ANZ Rewards Black credit card account. This is a limited time only offer which may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Rewards, ANZ Rewards Platinum or ANZ Rewards Black credit card within the previous twelve months. This offer applies only once per eligible customer."

https://www.anz.com.au/personal/cre.../?pid=crc-ibr-nt-ib-05-14-acq-anzrewardsblack

So the 'This offer applies only once per eligible customer.' part means once per promotion type. Probably covering themselves from what you referred to a couple of years ago - multiple simultaneous applications where every application was eligible.

Looks like you and the original poster are referring to different things. Unless the OP was asking the wrong question.

Does the 12 month exclusion apply to all ANZ cards or just FF ones? I only see the FF ones mentioned in the fine print, but I'd rather a real world success story.

Forgot to mention I have done this twice. During the 12 month FF exclusion period, applied for an ANZ Rewards card (no exclusion for me at this time) and got the ANZ rewards points bonus. Then cancelled and in the 12 month ANZ Rewards exclusion period (but after the first FF exclusion period) applied for a FF card and got the QFF bonus.

Anyone know when this deal is ending?

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I saw a poster on the way into a plane this week that had a date in February (I think 28th). Hoping it lasts as I'm waiting out my 12 month period to reapply.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just got diverted to their overseas based assessors ... it was a very painful experience ... Even Citibank is better than this lot!

I receive my payslips in email format, which I forwarded to them ... he said it is not acceptable as it looks like a cut and paste ... WTF. Advised me to print the email, scan it as a PDF and email it back ... OMG!

Then, he wanted to go through the application all over again line by line ... which was already done once before yesterday. I refused to engage and he put a note on the system saying I refused to explain my financials to him. (Mind you it is exactly the same information on the application form).

The next one started asking things like .... What is salary sacrifice? What is call back? BIG SIGH ... wine time ....

Put in a complaint via the ANZ website about the above inconvenience. Just received a call from ANZ apologising and promised to provide further education to their assessors. They also gave me 5000 QF points for my inconvenience. Much better service compared to Westpac despite having most of my accounts with Westpac!

thanks for the detail Kangol. Does holding (or having recently held) the ANZ adventure prevent receiving the QFF bonus points?

If this is anything to go by, you should be fine with the ANZ Adventure because it's not listed here:

Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Gold, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card within the previous twelve months.

Just what I needed to know. Cancelling my ANZ Rewards this week then looking to get this one instead. Never wrong if they want to give me free points :D

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Geez that was harder than it should have been. Didn't get instant confirmation. First time that's ever happened. Nothing for a week, rang up told me the application had been withdrawn "did you withdraw it?" they asked. Nope. So then asked for payslips, sent through then and there. Nothing for another 5 days. Rang up again, nice lady on the phone actually prompted it for a result and approved. Had a large bill I was going to pay due on 16th to help knock over the spend. Hope cards arrive in time.
