Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Thanks - I guess I was reading the T/c in their enitirty - will have more of a search in the thread to see others experiences - any idea which month to start looking from? Here is the current t/c

1. Offer available to new and approved applicants who apply for an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card account. This is a limited time only offer which may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. Not available in conjunction with other offers, packages or promotions, or when transferring from an existing ANZ credit card or where you currently hold or have closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer, ANZ Frequent Flyer Gold, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card within the previous twelve months. This offer applies only once per eligible customer. This is a limited time only offer available through internet banking which may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. Your application must be approved and you must activate the card and make $2,500 worth of eligible purchases (purchases which are not eligible to earn Points are described in the ANZ Frequent Flyer Black Reward Terms and Conditions (PDF 1.67MB), for example fees, cash, cash equivalent transactions, balance transfers, premiums paid for ANZ Credit Card Insurance and transactions for gambling or gaming purposes will not earn Points) within three months of approval to receive the bonus Qantas Points. The bonus Qantas Points will be credited to your ANZ account within three months of the eligible spend criteria being met. If you transfer or cancel your new ANZ Frequent Flyer Black credit card account before the introductory bonus Qantas Points are processed to your account, you may become ineligible for these bonus Qantas Points. ANZ will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from a delay in the process of receiving and/or approving an application or activating the card. The Total Annual Fee, and any Additional Cardholder Fees and Rewards Program Services Fees applicable to additional cardholders on the account, will be waived for the first year. After the first year for ANZ Frequent Flyer Black, a Total Annual Fee of $425 applies which includes a $370 Annual Account Fee and a $55 Rewards Program Services Fee, for additional cardholders an Additional Cardholder Fee of $10 and Rewards Program Services Fee of $55 will apply per additional cardholder on the account. These fees are current as Tuesday, 24 February 2015 and are subject to change. The fee information displayed on this page applies to new customers only. Existing customers may be subject to different fees and should call 13 22 73 for information regarding the fees that apply to their account.

Relax - this has been covered earlier in the thread. Read the T's & C's.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just got diverted to their overseas based assessors ... it was a very painful experience ... Even Citibank is better than this lot!

I receive my payslips in email format, which I forwarded to them ... he said it is not acceptable as it looks like a cut and paste ... WTF. Advised me to print the email, scan it as a PDF and email it back ... OMG!

Then, he wanted to go through the application all over again line by line ... which was already done once before yesterday. I refused to engage and he put a note on the system saying I refused to explain my financials to him. (Mind you it is exactly the same information on the application form).

The next one started asking things like .... What is salary sacrifice? What is call back? BIG SIGH ... wine time ....

Very similar experience to us.......said they could not read the scanned documents wanted new ones sent. Resent them....didnt like that we blanked out some personnel details.Yes didnt understand salary sacrifice....and on and on.....finally after two weeks and a different operator cards approved.

I've found it easier to just not include any salary sacrifice arrangements and put down the lower amount

Last time I rode the ANZ card churn wagon a year or two ago it was possible to signup for all three cards (Regular, Platinum, Black) and receive bonuses for all of them. Anyone tried that recently ?

That seemed to have been a once off. Since learning the hard way, ANZ has enforced the 12-month policy with the zeal of puritan converts. You've got next to buckleys of getting away with it now.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I applied last weekend, a day before ANZ released the offer on its public site (knew I should've waited). I didn't bother about opening an account so I hope to be eligible for the sign on points.

I didn't get approved instantly but was contacted several days later for pay slips, which I sent through immediately. Then waited 2 days before getting contacted by their Indian assessors. That was painless and was approved on the spot. Now just waiting for the cards to arrive to begin Christmas shopping.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Can someone please clarify for me whether ANZ considers council rates as government charges as an eligible purchase - need to make sure I spend the $2500. Also do gift cards apply - I always buy the 5% woolies one through cash rewards? thanks

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I think the Indian call centre said i've been approved....this has been a hugely ridiculous exercise...feedback to ANZ - shop locally - use an aussie call centre

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Does the 12 month exclusion apply to all ANZ cards or just FF ones? I only see the FF ones mentioned in the fine print, but I'd rather a real world success story.

All of the ones with points offerings as far as I am aware.

ANZ introduced this around 2 years ago after a massive failure which saw people apply for multiple similar cards simultaneously and score hundreds of thousands of points for free.
