Applied online, uploaded payslips, and was then was then asked for a bank statement (non-ANZ) with 3x recent salary deposits. Sent the statement in with the other transactions redacted, and now have been told that sending a full statement (eg. with details of all deposits and credits) will be required.

I've never been asked for something like this before - I've had ANZ cards in the past and more than meet the income requirement. I almost want to withdraw my application in protest - it's none of their business what I do with my money and 3x payslips from a multinational corporation should be enough. Of course - they are the card issuer and they get to decide, I'm not being forced to apply. Just wondering if anyone else was given such a requirement?

I uploaded 2 payslips and was asked to submit bank statements as well. I insisted my payslips fulfilled the income criteria and was very uncomfortable sending them my bank statements (bearing in mind this is all processed offshore). They gave in and approved my application anyway! I find the process very variable depending on who you get over the phone - I applied for a second card from ANZ and was declined by the operator stating I needed to cancel the first card ... a week later another one approved it.

Thats a bit odd. Mine specifically said 2 x payslips OR bank statements showing 2 x deposits

Was luckier on the phone today. Spoke to someone that explained that they had asked for a bank statement because my payslip showed a 'YTD payments' value that exceeded my 'gross salary' value. They allowed me to explain that it's because my employer reimburses me for travel expenses. They approved it instantly - no more drama...

Does ANZ allow you to see pending transactions on online banking and/or the banking app? I heard this was a major shortcoming of all ANZ credit cards.

They seem to show up in the app without any problems. Just have to click through to the transaction page and it shows as pending

Wife called up yesterday to cancel this card as the points posted, they offered her another 20k points to keep the card for another 3 months.

Have had this card myself twice now and was never offered this.

Let's hope ANZ keeps going the way of Amex :) How close is she to renewal date?

Just called up to cancel mine after having had the card for 7 months and got offered the same thing. 20k points provided I keep the card for another 3 months minimum. I accepted and will call up again in 3 months to cancel. This is the third time we've had this card but first time I've been offered this.

I got this card when the SC bonus was still active, have since received SCs and all bonus points. According to the T&Cs, the bonus SCs do not count for P1 and Loyalty bonus but the points are also not counted in the lifetime membership. Is that normal?

The app displays transactions almost immediately including the details of any pending transactions. Much better than Westpacs 'pending' which doesn't reveal vendor...

Hmm have a general question, hopefully this is the correct thread. I have a anz qff black card which i obtained start of june... have spent over the $2500 limit and subsequenstly paid it all off within the first month by end of june.
Just checked my account now and see that there is an annual fee of $370 and reward program fee of $55 place in early July. My understanding was there was no annual fee charge if you cancelled within the 12 months is this correct?

Are you sure it's a QFF black card? Exactly which link did you use to sign up?

Pretty sure applied for it at branch... The 75000 points are showing in my rewards section and when I applied the bank person even mentioned that if the card is cancelled within the year the annual fee isn't transacted
The card itself has the qantas symbol and frequent flyer in the top left section of the card

Isn't the waived annual fee on $2500 spend currently only for applications via internet banking? The other website option is a $200 fee reduction after a single transaction?

I recently applied for the former and they only asked for two payslips and rental income statements.

This must have changed in the past year or so. Transactions used to only appear after a couple of days, but I now see they appear instantly.
