See post above yours. I should say mine are AirPods Pro
But it can't even find them - is that correct
but it won't even connect to them to play the sound even though they are right next to the phoneFind my AirPod sound is very faint.
The case will chirp if it's a 2nd generation AirPods ProIt couldn't lead me to the empty case
Need to connect to your phone first in the usual way. Does it work if you use them?but it won't even connect to them to play the sound even though
Yep I can use them fine but as soon as they go back in the case it can't find them.Need to connect to your phone first in the usual way. Does it work if you use them?

Thats exactly what happened. As you're android, are you saying that while you were away your apple wife tried to find tag, and it showed last location as home? (did you wrap it in foil )
The tags work. Wifey is still watching... as soon as i got home her phone found it again
It's great isn't it after a long flight especially with delays to see how soon you need to escalate lost lugggage, or breathe a sigh of relief. These things are great.
Was able to ping all our bags yesterday over the middle of the North Pacific, literally in the middle of nowhere (plane had inflight Wi-Fi). Someone‘s phone must have been close enough to the luggage hold to get a ping.
And on arrival, knew when they were going to hit the luggage belt. View attachment 324265
Yep. It’s definitely possible for a phone to be close enough to ping the tags in the hold. Landed on my QF flight this morning and turned phone on while we taxied back in and got a “With You” status on my hold bag (which I understand means it’s close enough to be picked up by my own phone). I then got a “left behind” alert when I was waiting at immigration! These things are great.
