Some unkind things being said about Watson in the 20/20 match and his footwork (or lack of) as he gets bowled by a ball spinning back onto his stumps. The memes are out

Well that finished better than I thought it would - admittedly I didn't know some of the English team.
Nice combination at the top and solid opening stand - puts a good platform for the later batsmen. Joe Burns, go Queenslander!!
Way to go Watto - fails again, run out. Probably your last tour son.
Wade makes an impact with Mitchell Marsh for a 7th wicket century stand.
Now to go and watch the highlights

Report I read said that Wade was to blame for Watto's run out. Wade is a poor caller apparently.

Good to see a win at least even if it's a meaningless tournament. It would have meaning to the Poms though, to take down the World Cup holders.

Warne's best Australian ODI XI from the past 25 years

1. Mark Waugh
2. Adam Gilchrist
3. Ricky Ponting
4. Mike Hussey
5. Allan Border (c)
6. Michael Bevan
7. Andrew Symonds
8. Mitchell Johnson
9. Shane Warne
10. Brett Lee
11. Glenn McGrath

I would rather Dean Jones for Mark Waugh and Steve Waugh for Andrew Symonds on the proviso that Steve can bowl.

That's pretty damn close to my list I have to say. At least for the batters and all rounders - not so sure for 8-10. Hmm.

Love or hate Watson, I believe he was entitled to announce his retirement.

Shame he didn't realise his full potential and all the best for the future.

I'd have Matthew Hayden in for Symonds - the problem with Symons was he was mercurial and didn't have as good an average as Haydos in ODI's.

And Brad Haddin faced up to the inevitable a few days ago. A big change happening. With so much experience being lost before the Bangladesh tour Australia are a real chance of coming to grief there. Recently the Bangers have had the better of a couple of draws there. It's taken a while but they might be coming up to Test standard.

Meaningless ODI series is now 2-2 after the Poms managed to chase 300 against Australia for the first time ever.

Saw Mike Hussey recently and he was looking good......trim as his playing weight.

So Starc bowls a bouncer, and then everyone is concerned when the enivitable happens and he hits Morgan on the head. The Australian plan was to target him with this delivery. Is it time for this type of bowling is outlawed, can we play the game without it? It's like playing Russian Roulette and hoping the bullet misses.

So we won 3-2 but would trade that 3-2 for the other 3-2 in a heartbeat.

Team is almost unrecognisable even from the recent World Cup.

Next stop: Bangladesh.

Interesting to see some new names in the line up for Bangladesh. Should be a good tour I think.

And credit where it's due, nice work by Stokes comforting Starc after the hit.

I'd think that Starc was concerned about not only Morgans health, but in also not being known as the bowler that delivered a ball like Sean Abbott did to Philip Hughes (in both cases, neither ball was bowled with the express purpose to injure the batsman, but for them to play a rash shot and get out)
