ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

My contribution: I applied for and received and activated the ANZ Rewards Black in December 2014. Since then, I made five ATO payments, ranging from $3K (for a tester to see whether rewards points are credited) to $15K figures. I used Amex for all payments and (ANZ rewards) points were credited the next business day. The sign-up bonus also credited without me having to follow up and I have since transferred most of the points across to Velocity. In order to mix things up, I have also earned points through other purchases, however just looking at ATO payments and the current 20% bonus ANZ has going, I paid 0.89ct per Velocity point and I am very happy with that.

Thanks! Hoping my new ANZ card turns up ASAP I have a nice little tax bill waiting to be paid would love to get in with the 50k bonus and decent tax payment in time to take advantage of the 20% bonus.
 
Guys when is last years december quarter BAS due ?
I always thought it was 3rd March (tomorrow) but the ATO sent me a text last week to tell me that its due on 2nd March (today) ?

I know nothing wrong with paying a day early even if it is due tomorrow but my NAB cards have arrived on Friday I am just waiting for the welcome package and PIN to arrive today or tomorrow so the cards can be activated and it hasn't arrived today so will probably arrive tomorrow.

Can someone confirm the due date please ?

On my last BAS I paid maybe 3 weeks late which is probably why they texted me to make sure I am paying on time.
It's not standard for them to text a reminder, is it ?

Im new here. I got eParcel australia post business account, today I found out it can be pay using credit card, surcharge amex is 1.25%

I got altitude black amex westpac. Do I earn 3 points ? or this australia post classified as government charges ?

I can pay using postbillpay ( credit card or via paypal link to amex )

March 3 for me too but if going online I thought it could be 2 weeks later.

March 3 was on the paperwork for another company.

Never received a text.

Unless the rules have changed recently, you can be 2 weeks late if a Tax Agent submits your BAS. (Except the Dec BAS, where you are given an extra month anyway)

... and since March 3 is generally the "December" BAS, no further extension applies.

My online portal indicates March 3rd as well ...
 
Also WBC black altitude, although i think this is down to 1.5 altitude points to the dollar now?

Mrs andye's NAB Velocity Premium came ready activated (ie no need to wait for welcome pack/PIN and no phonecall required)
