ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Hi All
does anybody know if the mastercard in Diners Club Card + World MasterCard bundle accrues points for ATO tax payment?
I have looked and looked in their terms and conditions, but it seems like it doesn't mention anything about it.

Compared to my black altitude and diamonds CBA , it seems like this diners give's the BEST velocity points per $spend as well?
Thanks in advance!

Good question shifty....my card allows $10,000 a day pretty much 5 times a week even though I have a $25,000 credit limit. I got used to this and have never chosen to call to find out why.
I just start early and I have lots of other stuff I put on this card. I reload the card during many months.

Mine seems to be set on 10k as well. Interesting though, I left it for a few hours and than tried again and it let another 10k through, left it for another few hours and than it worked again, so managed to do 30k today with a few time gaps in between. Weird... Want to avoid a phone call, however I need a larger limit than 10k for other "normal" transactions.

Don't forget guys you have until ( I think ) the 12th May to hammer your Qantas woolworths card at 1 point per 2 dollars after the first $ 2,500. I have a Jetstar Mastercard as well but I am taking the QFF WW EDR CC to the wall before the 12th even though it is only half the points

I did another $5,000 on that WOW cc and then quickly paid the balance to zero. This card will be of no use to me later this month.
Now Mrscove has a much larger QF points balance than me seeing we had pretty large transactions on ATO this past 4 weeks and she had the best CCs to get it all done.
I used the US cards several times and the real final cost for those AA miles was about zero due to exchange rate differences.

Velocity Platinum Amex at half a point per dollar produces ATO result of 2.9 cents cost per dollar so banish that thought to the rubbish bin.
I'm sure the Amex Velocity (Basic Red card) awards 1pt/$ spend on ATO?

However, I don't have a Red card and don't think anyone has on here or has even tested it.

I don't believe so, as it's a "Citi" card, however I could be wrong, I don't have personal experience with the Diner's club card.

Doing my last harrah with Wollies CC over the next few days with my quarterly BAS.

Meanwhile I am looking ahead to the next vehicle.

When paying with QCU, what is the max single transaction limit? Not having much luck, after a few small successful transactions it is declining? Process over multiple days?

I did 3 x c$2k last month to ATO (me, wife, smsf) using QCU/Qudos. Used to pay through CBA Amex but switched this time and had no problems; points have landed.

Just remember that this is one of the best games around and never think it is over.
My WOW cc will be over once the points are paid across. But other CCs take its place so no need to hit the panic button.
For anyone with a Citibank card (which is useless for ATO) you can get a 15% points bonus to Velocity if you have warehoused points in a non Qantas points earning card. I guess that eases the pain of them dropping out of this game a couple of years ago.

Thanks for posting about Amex Velocity Red Radio8tiv. One point for 1.45% is quite a bit better than other direct Amex cards that pay half that rate.

So it is earning $1 = 0.74 KF ? pretty much same rate with WBC altitude black

Anyone have a definitive list on whats available? I've gone through 40+ pages and the only standout is Qudos?

I just got this card last week - just to let you know, there is a 15K a day limit - may not affect lots but it just means you cant do a whole lot of paying in any one day

That should be ok if you're allowed to split up the payments with the ATO (which I think you are).

I've applied with Qudos but have been rejected because I have too much available credit (Citibank + ANZ). I might give Bank Australia a go.

There's no reason why you couldn't pre-load the card with cash then pay your liability, still counts as a purchase

I'd have very little chance with Qudos given the large number of cards I have.

Waiting with interest to hear reports about Bank of Australia. In the meantime I'll stick to BankWest World at 0.66 from June.
