ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

At the risk of making too many posts, have been able to make my first payment with load from non ATO earning Visa. Not able to load extra funds assuming needs to move from pending to posted in a few days as wasn’t able to re load after my first charge. Nice new little tool. Thanks for sharing Hopefully will stay with us for a while.

This tasty line from the DP T&C's makes me think by opening an account in my wife's name, the limit just went to $2k per transaction.

"The maximum amount allowable for purchases is $1,000 per transaction per person. For groups of more than one member, each user’s maximum contribution for a purchase is $1,000 per transaction. "

V1 > DV > "the man" works
but the process takes so many steps

It took time for this process but i need to clear 20x V1 i already bought , work out to be 0.7 cents / SPG Points or 0.35 cent / SQ Points not sure it worth the time to load every single cards .

Why not skip V1 and go straight to your best earning m/c or visa?

Unfortunately I have no dragon to pull and got rejected by the westies for their attitude card. Plus I applied 3 credit cards within last 3 months, so won't be able to a pull a dragon on this quarterly.

The DP site says it creates a prepaid debit card. Thought the ato site would charge a 0.15% surcharge.



Don’t think this process requires V1, unless I’m missing something?

The terms and conditions said its debit card, but the man classify it as a credit card, but for some weird reason, the extra surcharge doesn't seem to be deducted at all. This is strange.

"the man" portal required an 0.40% surcharge for a test payment yesterday . didn't deducted at the end .

Yes, 4 transactions this week for me, all had the correct surcharge applied.

Anyway of checking that the payment has been correctly applied to your ATO account?

Yep, my grocer's MC displays two separate line items for the payment / payment fee.

Anyone having trouble trying to load the V1 onto the virtual card? Seems to have stopped showing the authentication loads at the V1 portal, so you can't proceed to verify the card. Was working last night.

i load 2 x V1 last night and the authentication showing instantly , about to do the rest today when i have time , V1 took too many steps , long term direct V/MC is better and faster

Too many steps indeed, I'm just trying to clear a backlog. The way it is looking to me is V1 has stopped payments to the virtual card. Hope I'm wrong as I still have quite a few to get rid of.

I have a feeling dv is still a little shaky and isn't at the scale you would expect. I bet it's just there system is a little slow Email them for assistance that seem very prompt

Wasn't that keen to alert them to what may have been a glitch in the Matrix. I'll wait and see if others are able to use it before emailing

Havent done any in last 24h but my experience using ÷pay is that canberra 0.4% surcharge didnt get actually billed if less than $1. Surcharges over $1 did but you do save a bit of time by aggregating the bill-there are lots of steps already

I’m having the same issue. 1st 2 payments went through (only 1st payment the surcharge came through in a second line item). Have adjusted to allow for it coming through later - no luck.
