ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I noticed an earlier reference to Jetstar Platinum cards not receiving QFF points. Is this the case. New applicants for the card are still offered the option to credit QFF point or does this only apply to the ATO.

Jetstar no longer awards ATO points.
You can still earn QFF points on other purchases though.

xemA Discovery card still working 1 4 1 ... though the fee is higher for points (but no fee on card itself).
(ran out of CL on silver doughnut plat visa so dusted off the xemA blue card and popped the leftovers on it due to timing as was less than 10% of the total)

I think the same is true for the velocity base red card as for the qan blue no specific mention of lower earn rate on the site for our friends in CBR.

xemA Discovery card ...

Google searched xemA Discovery card which only brought up Discover Card. Only when I added Qantas points, did it return Amex.

Just wondering, if it is Amex you're talking about, why you typed it in reverse?

Credit cards and FF points for ATO transactions

Hi,
This is my first day as a AFF member. I read (and paid for) the AFF report from last year advising which CC still give points for ATO transactions. Briefly, I have about $50,000 worth of ATO transactions and then about $80,000 worth of private "normal" expenditure on top of that (so $130,000 a year).
My Citibank PLAT CC stopped giving me points for ATO transactions around August 2014. From research to date my best bets appear to be the HSBC Plat Qantas Card or the Macquarie Plat Qantas Card - would this be correct?
I am especially keen to hear from those members that have these (or other) CC that would enable want I want (that being ATO transactions earning points and these to be same as what I was getting, 1 point per $1 spent).

Thanks in advance Craig

Re: Credit cards and FF points for ATO transactions

Westpac Platinum Kris Flyer (no longer taking applications) and Woolworths Platinum Qantas everyday rewards CC appears to be changing around March 1st. ANZ black Amex is working.
All Australian Citibank cards are gone.
Bankwest Platinum has worked but new card earn rates may have been lowered.

He doesn't want them to fix the loop hole. Because you are meant to earn a lot less than that.

Apparently it was 'never supposed to award points for ATO and it was an error they are no fixing'

Have made multiple phone calls arguing the change without notification.
Thanks
it all just gets harder and harder but guess that is where the thrill of the hunt comes in to it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry I feel worse after getting caught by the withdrawal of the Jetstar card for QFF earn!
Almost as stupid as I felt when I put $ 40K through it when points were being paid but did not calculate the annual capping limit of 100K. Finally ended up getting 20K points when I chased it and said I was going to cancel the card. My own stupid fault, had a blonde moment ( no offence intended ) !!

Citi caught me for a six figure amount of points not paid when they secretly dropped paying points on ATO. It was great while it lasted so I have not ended up bitter and twisted.
All I did was move on to other cards.

ouch !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the time it felt like double ouch.
I did get lots of points from Citi on two cards for a long time so it worked out ok overall.
