I’ve always enjoyed the QF AKL First Lounge. Long live ’the cupboard’!
I totally agree.I’ve always enjoyed the QF AKL First Lounge. Long live ’the cupboard’!
I have just spent 3 hours in this lounge. Honestly, this lounge is way better than the QF Intl J Lounge in SYD. Once the MEL pax left, the lounge was pretty empty. The work zone area is brilliant and all what you need when on business travel. Beer selection is nice and while food is indeed limited, I found the quality much better than in SYD Intl J.Slightly OT but Wellington lounge well and truly open (July 16). In need of revamp but a nice simple lounge. Limited food offering - scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, yoghurt etc. The escort to the gate to board first was a nice touch.

Must be Chairman's lounge! I've been through a few times already and agree with all the positive comments. You should note that they alternate sandwiches and sushi. I prefer the sushi. One down side is no more brandy/cognac but the Glenfiddich will do. Graeme is at the counter now. Used to be a flight attendant and has the same cheery style with announcements when he was flying.I have just spent 3 hours in this lounge. Last point, did people notice the separate VIP room behind the reception? You can have a sneak peek when you board via gate 46.
Sandwiches today - the chicken ones were delicious! No Graeme around today.Must be Chairman's lounge! I've been through a few times already and agree with all the positive comments. Sorry I missed that. Just counted forward so should be sushi next time I travel. Should also mention the Panhead beer. Best in NZ.Sandwiches today - the chicken ones were delicious! No Graeme around today.
Yes, Panhead Supercharger on offer today - like in the domestic AirNZ domestic lounge.Sorry I missed that. Just counted forward so should be sushi next time I travel. Should also mention the Panhead beer. Best in NZ.
Just spent a bit of time in the QF WLG lounge. Still a superb outstation and clearly better than the QF Intl J lounge with offerings, incl craft beers.I have just spent 3 hours in this lounge.
