Thank you, how do I know this is accurate? Where did you source this info from?

Those of you following this thread may be interested in an interview I conducted for today's episode of the "AFF on Air" podcast with Karl Schubert, a spokesman for Singapore Airlines.

In the podcast we have a 20-minute chat about the recent spate of Singapore Airlines flight cancellations into Australia, the many challenges faced by airlines flying to Australia during the pandemic, and the outlook for Australia's international border reopening.

If you'd like to have a listen, the interview begins at the 13:28 mark.

Hi, I'm new here

Where can I find information on flights operated by Etihad, especially EY460 AUH-MEL? Are these actually happening? Are people with economy tickets getting on board or just getting bumped?

(sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread)

Thanks in advance

Welcome to AFF, @FLN56 .

EY460 has operated every Tu, Th, Fr and Sa this month. ExpertFlyer seat map for the flight currently in the air has 7 PAX in J and 0 in Y. So if there was anyone booked in Y on that flight, they didn't get on.

Sold out in about 10 minutes.

It’s a travesty that commercial flights are flying in practically empty. So many empty seats that could be filled.

From what I’ve read on some of the Facebook groups, they actually sold out in about 3 minutes. It took 11 minutes for DFAT to send that second email.

DFAT has failed twice so far this month.

The first fail was when they sent out the DEL flights to the people registered for the UK. The second fail was when they did not send out the UK flights to the people registered for Ireland (they normally do).

On tomorrow's QR904 into MEL it's looking like my one Y pax is going to have the entire Y cabin to themselves... it's got me wondering how they figure out what to cater on the flight for one pax!

Probably just add 1 or 2 to the crew meals as long as they give the pax a choice before all of the staff.
Nice though to have a cabin all to yourself on a long haul flight.

Currently mid-flight on SQ317 (LHR - SIN) in J. Cabin looks about 1/3 to 1/2 full. Haven’t looked at the other cabins.

SQ flight crew fantastic as always. Fingers crossed our connecting flight SQ245 to BNE goes smoothly too.

Check-in at LHR was a nervous experience as the required additional checks are carried out (Singapore now requires a PCR test within 48 hours of departure flight), plus the Aus & QLD travel declarations. But all ok and we seem to be on track!

There’s already a wonderful thread on Brisbane hotel quarantine so I won’t add to that, but happy to drop a note on our experience if there’s any interest / particular info people want to hear.

Have a good flight @map . When arriving into BNE I didn’t need my Australian declaration but did show my Qld declaration a couple of times, including the health screening just after I hopped off the flight And before immigration.
