Australia v India Test Series: General Discussion

Love the background shots.

Yes! It looks to be a stunning ground with the high snow capped mountains in the background.

Good first session for us. Very impressive first over for the Indians. Warner was lucky to survive first ball!

F1 on TV and cricket on FoxtelPlay on iPad! Busy afternoon.:)

Winning toss was crucial. Now time to bat India into submission. 600 looks possible unless Smith declares earlier.

Great viewing but disappointing to see Warner go just now. Really enjoyed our time in Dharamsala in 2013. Ate at a restaurant that had a lot of photos of cricketers that were there during the Premier League.
Dalai Lama Residence-unfortunately he was not present. Strict security to get into the area & no photography allowed while we were there

Life is still pretty relaxed there-this was outside the restaurant I mentioned

Going a similar way to the last Test. 4/172 with Smith and Maxwell together. Smith on 94. I don't think this is a 600 pitch - maybe 350 will be good. Aus pacemen should get some life out of it.

To quote Victor Meldrew "I just don't believe it!" Finally get an internet connection and wickets are falling everywhere.........

Looks like a wonderful opportunity being wasted here. Opposition captain missing, win the toss but only Smith looking comfortable. Enjoying watching the debutant spinner. Great ton for Smith

Another ton to Smith. I think that's 7 in 8 Tests vs India.

It's like Smith is playing a different team to the rest of 'em.

You might be right but at 1/140 we should have been looking at 400+ if not 450.

300 doesn't look enough but wait until India bats I guess. They're down a batsman but the way Kohli was scoring maybe the new guy will do better.

Interesting first session coming up... as usual.

Think India bats down 9 with guys such as Ashwin and Jadeja averaging 30 and above.

Looks like India intent on being out there a long time. Spin not doing much and we went with 2 spinners?

Thought they might be getting away from us but Lyon pulled them back. Credit to O'Keefe for holding back the scoring and applying pressure even if he didn't get wickets. Still very evenly balanced. If Australia can secure any kind of lead they'll need to bat well to give India a decent total to chase. If we end up much behind then I think we'll struggle. Hope the second drop by Renshaw (Saha) won't prove crucial!

It's amazing how few series are as evenly fought as this one. People harking back to 2005 Ashes. Otherwise it seems one side crushes the other fairly early on in the series and then the other only gets the odd win in the dead matches. The last Aus vs SA series in SA was an exception.

Couple of fans in the crowd.

Do you think staging a Test at Dharamsala will be a boost to tourism by Aussies? Seems a genius move. Wonder if there'll be a Test there in four years' time.

One hour into today's play and India haven't lost a wicket and are only 15 behind. coughmins got Jadeja first ball of the day but it was (rightly) overturned on DRS review. Renshaw's drop yesterday looking worse by the minute. Aus really struggle with the seventh wicket it seems. That's where it went wrong in Ranchi.

The trend is not good if one is an Aussie supporter.

EDIT...well as soon as I posted the above 3 wickets tumbled!
