Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

Yes. And then they lied about it once notified of the positive result.
And suddenly the timeline of the QF flight attendant makes sense. She presented for testing the day after her friend was notified of their positive result. It makes me wonder if she was telling porkies too. Said her symptoms started on the 13th to avoid implicating her friend who breached their isolation order and Qld entry rules on the 14th.

These protesters could have just started a super spreader event!!!!

But we won't know for 4 or 5 days

Should be a sackable offence

Re - the FA’s sidekick - only be a matter of time before civil actions could be mounted against people who deliberately flout legal orders to isolate that result in death of someone (not to mention business losses).

Genomic sequencing can make the link.

Most people do the right thing - but some have no sense of civic responsibility.

Obviously I'm speculating. But it sounds like 6 plane loads of passengers from the 11th and 12th have needlessly tested and isolated for a few days this week.

Well, not needlessly. Just cautious. And fair enough. A little inconvenient for the few involved. We must do everything to prevent QLD being like the ”gold standard” NSW,

Finally- Electronically monitored home quarantine mooted in the NT:

(paywalled)
The driver is stated to be lack of hotel quarantine surge capacity in Alice Springs. Will be interesting to follow if it actually happens

Oh I agree it had to be done based on the information given by the flight attendant. But Qld Health has now removed the 6 flights as exposure sites.

Qld Health has also added A LOT of new exposure sites tonight.

I think you are on the ball.Deliberately backdated the onset of her symptons so as not being in trouble bringing a fugitive into QLD.
Of course then she would have known he was positive so hopefully they didn't move around. But the ABC report of her infection put the news of a positive case visiting Dreamworld in the middle of the report.

I wonder if we'll be getting ANGRY Jeanette Young tomorrow!?

It will be interesting to see if we get some cases and we will be having a week of lockdowns... The last 3 day lockdown was a joke here as basically all and any businesses could be open... The Lolly shop and also dress shops and a crystal shop all open in the town I own a business but I was closed but open for appointments only...

Vic DHHS has confirmed that there is one less positive case than had been reported.:

A previously-announced case linked to Trinity College (announced on 22 July) was reclassified and rejected on 24 July based on further investigations – and is not a case. This is reflected in the coughulative case total in today's numbers.
It is also worth noting that no new Victorian exposure sites were added on Sunday 25th July. The first time for quite some time.

The last sites added were at
