7 far west LGAs going into lockdown just reported on The Project. Bogan, Bourke, Brewarrina, Coonamble, Gilgandra, Narromine, Walgett and Warren

NSW Police rewriting the Public Health Order and more ADF to be requested. Hazzard lost the argument in Crisis Cabinet and Elliott the NSW Police minister won reported on 9.

Andrew Clennell on Sky reporting a full state lockdown is a live option.

Is anyone even remotely surprised?

Honestly what do people think is going to happen. There’s thousands of active cases, hundreds of unlinked mystery cases, who knows know many undetected, contact tracing is out the window now… it’s going to keep spreading.

If one owns two properties then I would say having the right to go to both is essential.

Again, there is no evidence of such actions causing any “spread” of this virus.

But we’re not concerned about actually managing the virus are we. Most just want to punish NSW for not towing the “covid zero” line.

And that is what is happening. Non-essential services and hospitality are closed. People cannot visit family.

The act of visiting your own property for whatever reason has not caused any spread of this virus.

But it's a holiday house, so going on holiday is far from considered essential travel.
It's the maintenance of that holiday house that can come under essential, depending who's enforcing or what side of bed they woke up on.

Exactly. So if you’ve paid a heap in stamp duty, rates and god knows what other taxes, it’s your right to go and maintain it.

Again, this is not the end of the world, it’s a virus. Australia is just at a level of hysteria that even reasonable people have lost all sense of reality.

But taking your surf board and staying 7 days to mow the lawn & replace a single fence pailing could be stretching it.

Was plenty evidence of melb Metro residents (within ring of steel) of ppl visiting their HH in Mornington Peninsula & Philip island that were taking the piss.

Anyway you have your rock solid views and refuse to accept this holiday house flaunting past behaviours.

Gosh. In SA, depending on circumstances, SA Health have put close contacts into a Med Hotel. The decision making continues to confound me.

There are currently close contacts in Special Health Accommodation at several sites in NSW. Not a new thing here either

Indeed but ultimately it was regarded as not a breach of the public health order.

Vaccines only work when 70/80% of people in this country have had them. And even in that case, it’s only relevant for Australian state restrictions.

These people have come from overseas. That’s proper scary and they need to be locked away.
