I don’t believe so - when I was watching it was in the context of the current testing that was happening in hotspots and she was clearly frustrated that they had had so many refusals when they were trying to get things under control.

Frustrated yes, but they did not know why. But it was stated that some may already have been tested at the various testing sites as well as the other reasons also mentioned.

Yes those figures came out last week (?) Canberra was certainly high in some categories

Well I’m sure overall they found high levels of BS in Canberra, it literally flows out of their mouths whenever a TV camera is pointed at them. Higher concentrations detected around Capital Hill (I.e Parliament House / politicians)

It appears to help limit the spread in AU, that the NSW government is no longer as confident in their quarantine procedures as they once were and has now put a cap on 50 people per overseas flight (incoming).

Just heard on the radio news. They said with MEL shut, this would mean cancellations of flights and diversions to BNE, ADL and possibly PER.

And someone from Victoria on a train into Sydney arrived into Sydney with symptoms and now off to hospital. Never thought I'd say this but other states now need to restrict entry because clearly many are unable to make that decision.

It is more that they weren't setup to take all the passengers that were supposed to be going to Melbourne.

I don't know what was said, but the caps were introduced due to pressures on capacity in Sydney.

99% of Australians are taking it seriously, its not just about Victoria. Although having just been to a mall in QLD, you wouldn't know there was a pandemic lurking around - same deal in Sydney, Adelaide malls as well from all reports.

Yeah, ADL seems almost normal again. Pubs are pretty busy with not a lot of SD going on and the shops and malls are getting back to some normality. Road traffic is just as busy as pre Covid so plenty of people out and about but I have noticed people are a little more careful and aware when entering shops and businesses. There is definitely an element here though that people just don’t give a damn though
