I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! crew member sparked North Coast lockdown
The COVID-19 case that led to the Byron and Tweed LGAs going into a seven-day snap lockdown was a member of a film crew attached to reality show I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!Production company ITV Studios Australia confirmed one of its crew had contracted the virus, and said the woman was fully vaccinated and wore PPE while she was at work.
The woman was an authorised worker but it's understood she did not follow stay-at-home orders while in the area (the series is being filmed in the Northern Rivers).
NSW Police said contact tracing was underway and authorities would investigate any alleged breaches of the Public Health Order.
