And they are going to spend $2 million on advertising for heath care staff. on arrival in WA they will need a pcr test,isolate for 7 days and further PCR tests on days 6,9 and 12.. Not sure that is going to be that attractive.

He sounded pretty keen on adults being triple dosed first. So how long will it take WA to get to 95% triple dosed? (Edit I later heard mention of 88% which is the current second dose rate for 16+ But according to Mark everything is subject due to review....).

Forever and a day......just getting to 95% first dose (this week?!). On best case scenario, that metric + 3-4 weeks for 2 dose + 3 months for third dose.

Honest truth is I am not ringing my Mum for the same reason, I am sure she is beside herself with disappointment/emotion, just like me.

My dad had to take the phone off mum, she’s literally inconsolable. I hope all the WA residents who are dragging their heels getting vaccinated are happy with themselves.

Correct me if I’m wrong (I only just looked it up quickly), but in Perth at the moment mask wearing is mandatory, proof of vaccination is required and QR code check ins are required.

Is that not exactly the same as the situation in Sydney and Melbourne? I’m struggling to see how things are better in Perth yet a disaster “over East”

My father (35+ year frontline healthcare veteran in Perth) left me a similarly inconsolable and very much not-like-him voicemail.

To condense it, they haven't prepared adequately in any way shape or form over 2 years, so the extra time they are buying is pointless. Open and get the pain and suffering over with is his opinion.
