......will update when I get figures for total community transmission
From what I've read, that appears to be consistent with how most international jurisdictions define 'community spread' or 'community transmission'. Eg, when countries talk about opening borders to those with little to no community transmission, they are still considering cases where successful contact tracing is occurring as community transmission.Unfortunately it seems SA Health regards community spread as any infection acquired in SA even when they know where the infection came from.

I get that there is a distinction between knowing where a chain has emerged from and cases where there is no known link, but both pose a danger to the community. One is simply many multiples more of a risk than the other.
From now, no exercise if isolating at home away from the home
I’m with you! Surely that’s wrong.wow cant believe this was ever allowed, I had understood if you were on ISO the only reason you could leave the home was to go to the hospital. So for last 5 months, heaps of people in mandatory isolation (positive cases and close contacts of of positive cases) have been going out into the community to do exercise - unbelievable. For 2 weeks, you can just exercise inside your house or in backyard.
That is excellent news.

I only realized the distinction about a week ago lolFrom what I've read, that appears to be consistent with how most international jurisdictions define 'community spread' or 'community transmission'. Under the first lockdown my family literally didn’t leave except for one of us to buy groceries.....1 per week.wow cant believe this was ever allowed, I had understood if you were on ISO the only reason you could leave the home was to go to the hospital. In Melbourne they apparently had some law protecting human right to minimal exercise/fresh air or something like that.....read an article. If I understand correctly, it was inadvertently referred to by Vic CHO in the past weekI’m with you! Surely that’s wrong.

‘’Pivotal day’’ for SA. Two new cases of #COVID19 - both women in their 20s.
One is linked to the cluster. She visited a restaurant, shop and gym while infectious.
The other could be a case of community transmission. Still under investigation.
I was hoping the Vic premier would say if you positive and you are not at home, we will break down your door to look for you and then search and find you then put you in jail pending court action.t
I never understood the logic. Ever. It's unbelievable. And also double standards applied for those who arrived from overseas who might have the virus, and those in Australia who do have the virus, having laxer rules.
When we came into Australia (just before compulsory hotel quarantine) we were given a notice that forbid us from leaving the property - even for exercise, yet for all these months, people who have been positive have been allowed to leave their homes for "exercise". The logic astounds me.
Still think if Vic get their cases back down to <1000 then they should look at physically quarantining positive cases with their families if there is no other carer available. It would save a whole heap of angst and police resources.
Sleepy NSW and nanny Qld have lower numbers today.I suspect SA will act far more proactively (and has already) than sleepy NSW....
Well there you go! What could possibly go wrong. No such thing in SA. And I betting most of Australia didn’t know this happening either. In Melbourne they apparently had some law protecting human right to minimal exercise/fresh air or something like that.....read an article. It’s a relative usage of the word. And like some here I’ll take any positive news when I see it.I think excellent is a really strong word to be using...
"It is important to reiterate that, while most cases in the past week have been associated with local clusters and close contact with known cases, some have not been linked to known cases," Dr Chant said.
By likely source of infection | Count |

Locally acquired – contact of a confirmed case and/or in a known cluster | 1,123 |
Locally acquired – contact not identified | 376 |
