In Melbourne they apparently had some law protecting human right to minimal exercise/fresh air or something like that.....read an article. If I understand correctly, it was inadvertently referred to by Vic CHO in the past week
Well there you go! What could possibly go wrong. No such thing in SA. And I betting most of Australia didn’t know this happening either.
Yep quite a few of us knew about this. Sparked quite an outrage on the Covid Dr Facebook.
Brett Sutton confirmed it after being asked at one of the press conferences.
Victorian Charter of Human Rights.
A reporter asked him to confirm the situation for those in quarantine who have tested positive to the virus.
“Those in quarantine because they have tested positive, are they allowed to leave for exercise?” she asked.
“They are, otherwise it is detention and we do not have detention for cases in Victoria. They are entitled to exercise within their home and their garden, ideally,” Professor Sutton responded.
