By comparison we don’t need a heat map to know we should avoid the UK.

Hence Hobart airport's continuing claim to be 'International'
Apologies if it's already been posted, but we now know where to avoid in NSW

Rumoured to be a Victorian school that has had an outbreak and is about to be closed
Yes and only 1 teacher has tested positive. School to be closed for 3 days for thorough cleaning. Hopefully it hasn’t been transmitted to others at the school.Being reported as Meadow Glen primary school in Epping.

That meat processing plant has turned into quite a nasty outbreak though
Question for medicos - maybe @drron might help. Most if not all the 13 deaths in Tasmania have been +70 or 80, I think, and many already in hospital for one reason or another. Therefore in the 'most vulnerable' category and little doubt would be 'in trouble' when they were diagnosed with the virus.
Yet I think only one case total was/has been in ICU: Coronavirus Australia 221 cases | COVID-19 Live .
Question is: why wouldn't more of these cases have been in ICU? Surely they are exactly the group that we have established extra ICU capacity for?
Were the overseas travellers in isolation?13 new cases reported in Vctoria today.
Six are from an outbreak in a meat processing factory, four were from recently returned overseas travellers and three were discovered Victoria’s “testing blitz”.
This brings the state total to 1,384 cases.
There were no new deaths overnight.
The significant part there is the three were discovered Victoria’s “testing blitz”.
The blitz which has only just been commenced for those that are unaware is the goal to do 100,000 tests in 14 days (this is a major ramping up o the previous rate)and where anyone with even only the most minor symptom can get tested. A key reason for the blitz was to try and root out any cases that may have been circulating, before any widespread opening up of Victoria post 11 May.
Note that 100K of tests in a fortnight is a major expansion as up till then there had been about 110/120K of tests done in Vic prior to the blitz starting.
In addition:
The widespread testing of individuals will be used alongside wastewater testing, where the levels of coronavirus in sewage will be tracked to help anticipate or rapidly respond to local outbreaks.
When my mother went into an aged care residential facility they are counselled as to whether that person wants a DNR in place so that staff immediately know what to do in the event of heart attack, stroke, or in this case, Covid. If they want a DNr the paperwork is lodged with their records. My mum had a DNR and that was invoked when she had a stroke and which took any decisions away from us.Question for medicos - maybe @drron might help. Were the overseas travellers in isolation?
I'm surprised they were counted in the numbers without specifying.Well compulsory quarantine has been in pace for some time for all travellers re-entering Australia, so the answer would presumably be yes.
So personally they are case numbers that I ignore.
There are still regular flights of Australians coming back from overseas. Some are on special repatriation charters, and some are on the scheduled international flights that some airlines are still operating.
