Casual Contacts: Auburn (coughberland LGA) Avalaon (NB), Bankstown (Cantebury-Bankstwon), Campsie (Cantebury-Bankstwon), Casula (Liverpool), Hurlston Park (Cantebury-Bankstown), Nyngan, Pendle Hill (Paramatta), Warriewood (NB), Wentworthville (Paramatta LGA)

Nothing in Canada Bay listed.

I think when classifying LGAs, the states should be required to specify why if they are anything except green, why that is. Criteria should be published and be transparent.
I’m pretty sure Concord Hospital was mentioned yesterday - is that in Canada Bay?

I am sure there is a reason. But who know maybe Sutton and NT just pulled LGA's out of a hat? I doubt it.

We have seen throughout the pandemic that CHO's and epidiemiologists both here in Australia as well as overseas, can have the same facts, but form different opinions and recommend different actions. And morseo politicians.
So why does Tasmania treat these same LGAs as medium risk so you can travel but must quarantine. The only Red zone they had in NSW was the Northern beaches.
Yes Qld has had all of greater Sydney as a red zone but has always allowed Queenslanders to return home and quarantine at home if able.
So why is Victoria different?

Because they worked hard and sacrificed much during lockdown and (jealously) guard what they have achieved.

You clearly have been missing the Vic press conferences involving the Vic Premier ;)

A member of the family diagnosed over the weekend worked 2 shifts (in non patient facing role) at Concord Hospital. They were wearing PPE during the shifts and all colleagues she interacted with (and any patients they interacted with) have been tested and found to be negative - that was advised yesterday.

As I said no public exposure sites in Canada Bay - workplace exposures are always quick to be contained and contacted, as security processes mean they know exactly who has been onsite and who they interated with.

Because QLD, VIC and TAS are run by 3 different governments, with 3 different health departments, 3 individual CHO's and make their own independent decisions based on the information they receive, the advice they are given and the politics of the day... Has that not become clear to you yet ? ;)

Hello.... WA and the Mysterious Case of their supposed 'Health Advice' from an Invisible CHO? 😂 😂 😂

It's really just the bolded bit, the evidence doesnt support a genuine health decision.

Victorians retruning form the supposed red zones, could just retrun, test and self isolate until a result is achived, unless they have been advised by NSW Health that they are a close contact and need to do 14 days.

Well im off to a meeting with my solictor whose office is in Canada Bay, I know that will alarm the Victorians on this thread.

But im pretty confident i wont contract covid by doing so, despite conjecture mask usage is good in that area and there are no local cases there to be exposed to.

Yes, please feel justified to qualify by now saying no public exposure sites. Disregard that there are exposure sites publicly notified yesterday to make a point. Ok, point taken.

I am aware that around the eastern seaboard (at least) not all exposure sites are listed - friends getting caught up in first/second ring even though no contact, just being at the (public) venue at the wrong time

Its hard right, having loads of family in Melb that went through the 2020 lock down, I really do on one hand, understand the trigger happy nature to prevent anything from happening again. But also on the other hand, VIC's rapid response teams have now crushed about 5/6 clusters in a row without breaking a sweat so hopefully some confidence will return at the same time.... Tough one....

Why would it alarm the Victorians, you can't come to Melbourne anyway...? Confused.

Because they all seem to think it being a Red Zone is justified so some high risk to the health of anyone who dares to go there.

After going on about no risk of CAnada Bay, you just prove the connectedness of Inner West to Canada Bay......

I think you are massively exaggerating and generalising but if it helps you by venting then go ahead.
Good luck with your lawyer business hope nothing serious :)

Might alarm the Victorian government, but I couldn't give a damn.

Not that I class myself as anywhere close to a Victorian, but I am a resident of Victoria.

now saying no public exposure sites.

Scroll back ive said public from the beginning.

Victorian Govt paronoia is OTT (and application of its traffic light system inconsistent).

NSW is not repeating the mistakes that Victoria made, things have never been out of control here.

All that Vic Govt is doing with its endless radio and print ads, is creating bad will and impacting future tourism from NSW.

As someone who has lived in both Canada Bay and Inner West - Ive never had reason to visit Strahfield or Burwood. You can commute from Canada Bay by bus or ferry without transiting Burwood or Strathfield.

As the Canada Bay LGA touches touches Strathfield station - literally - some residents would most certainly transit Strathfield! Even though those living in the Canada Bay (the suburb) would have no need.

Strathfield has 1 case, even if someone catches the train they will be masked, not worried.

Daniel Andrews said:
"We apologise and we express our absolute regret that this virus and the outbreaks out of hotel quarantine in NSW and in Queensland has disrupted the summer of many, many Victorians."

I am not sure I have ever seen a more backhanded, arrogant comment in my entire life.

This from the Premier who presided over the biggest, deadliest, most catastrophic outbreak Australia has seen.

As you suggest - today your post 15274. So not from the beginning.

So looks like Vic copied the NT list.

Still makes absolutely no sense why Canada Bay which has no cases, no exposure sites and high testing rates would be Red.

coughberland is obviously the highest risk given 9 out 12 mystery cases in NSW come form there (the other 3 being from NB).

Fairlfield i assume is only on the list due to low testing and low mask compliance.

Vic clearly arent using Mystery cases as criteria, as NB has had 3 mystery cases recently, although super impressive testing rates.
POst 15274 lol - edit bolding added to the quote
