Wow, just went onto his official facebook page updated this afternoon with above post. He is getting killed in comments, prob 80% negative, and some very negative.

12 Months ago he would have been 90% positive comments, but people are now having their say. Everyone has a limit.

When his social media crony's show him comments tonight or tomorrow he will get a rude awakening. This might soften the approach to open state borders, being what this thread is all about.

I find the poor English and dramatic wording funny, not the actual impact on the poor families trapped because of the 1 case of virus spread, again.

Poor old WA. Tide is well and truly turning now, it’s unstoppable. Expect big things from Tassie today….

Tassie will join the ‘Christmas Alliance’ I’m sure now and exit their codeshare with the old WA alliance

In related news, a friend is getting married in a month or so. For her sake I hope restrictions and settings allow guests and dancing. I doubt WA will have a high enough vax rate for Mark to not impose a lockdown if there is a leak.

Unfortunately (for WA) the predictions were true and the fast deteriorating WA alliance loses another member as Tasmania officially joins the not going to ruin ‘Christmas Alliance’!

Tassie opening to all states period no matter what on Dec 15, beating QLD by 2 days (clever move!).

So WA will have to put the wall back up to Tassie as well as QLD…

So the new Christmas Alliance is:
NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, TAS

Current WA Alliance:
WA, SA, NT

I strongly suspect SA will ditch WA soon too…

Tasmania to open borders on December 15​

Tasmania will open its borders to the rest of Australia on December 15, the state's Premier Peter Gutwein has announced.

"Anyone will be able to enter Tasmania from anywhere within Australia, subject to being fully vaccinated, that's if they're 12 years and over, and having a negative test result within 72 hours of travelling," he said.

He also outlined a curious exception to this rule for Tasmanians leaving the state for less than a week. If a Tasmanian travels to NSW or Victoria for a weekend, they do not need to get a test to return home.
