I'm negotiating a Covid testing hurdle at present. I've got to look at a job on a mine site and have to have a negative test between 48 and 72 hours prior. Sounds easy but I'm in Tasmania and flying to Adelaide on a Tuesday. That means getting tested over the weekend and the only way I can do that is rock up to a drive through and use hay fever symptoms as justification. OK, I have now been tested due to having symptoms and will have to isolate until I get results but what if the results don't come through before my Tuesday flight? I can't fly because I'm in isolation. Catch 22!
Only viable option seems to be to get tested at Adelaide airport, then spend 48 hours in Adelaide. That of course pushes everything into the weekend and makes things difficult for those I'm meeting on site.

Certainly is, if I were coming into Tasmania. Problem is I'm leaving Tasmania and going to another State. I can see this becoming an issue for any interstate travel where a negative test is required. The State you are leaving is not going to help because they have no interest in anything outside their borders.

No one has access though to know though, we had people requiring tests but worried about turnaround timelines so they had 3 to spread the risk. Worked.

Hardly goss. If you read the fine print of their road map it is there until 12/1/22 unless reviewed earlier.

I'm quite confused about the requirements for entering Queensland having returned from an international flight - spent 15 days in NSW - then driving across the border (after 17th December - 80% double vax). The website says: "

• have undertaken the Queensland-specified period of quarantine under the direction of another state or territory at home or in a government-nominated facility.

I don't think NSW will be in the business of providing direction of quarantine for those subsequently returning to Queensland. So does that mean I can't reenter Queensland - or simply say I haven't been overseas in the last 14 days? Or does one say I was under the direction of the state of NSW?

No problem with the GP and I don't care whether it's free. I'll just charge the customer. Problem is the timing puts it on the weekend. As far as I know, drive through is the only way to get tested on the weekend, but I'm told it can take three days for results.

I've seen nowhere adelaide requires a test for fully vaccinated except the above article so i'm not sure....
