More restrictions SA to VIC or SA to rest of Australia?
Just within SA at the moment but apparently testing for Vic people? But haven't heard that yet. Oh wait. Listening right now. Yes, from Greater Melbourne from midnight tonight people must be tested on Day 1 and isolate until negative

There goes my plan to travel to SA. Already cancelled a trip last time they went over the top with restrictions.

The Feds should reverse the international arrival caps reductions and state that the states are not complying with using lockdowns as a last resort, but I expect they won’t.

Can you even imagine 3 Sydney removalists causing so much carnage in 2 states…

No. And there is the rub, If people care about cross state infection then border closures will be here to stay despite vaccination rates. I am sure there are some asking whether WA have the right approach after all given what has happened today .

You can get tested immediately at the airport and get results overnight if that helps. It is usually very quiet there.

Makes it very difficult for one going to ADL for the day business trip as I did recently.
Results may come in once you've left the state already.
Plus the line for test at the airport can be few rows long.

Where are those rapid 90-95% + accuracy tests?

While it stays at level 1 you don't need to quarantine after the test unless you have symptoms. If it's essential then allow for a test on day 1 or at airport if late and then you are done.

Just like one limo driver in Sydney. This is the problem with the entire approach. It’s too easily undone. You can’t have the entire function of the country being dictated by literally singular people. It’s setup for frequent failures. Basic human nature tells us that.

It’s also setting us up for a lot of long term damage in the way we treat people. I rarely watch TV so missed the drama, but I saw media watch tonight and the way 7/9/10/Murdoch attacked that individual driver. Following him home, to the shops, ringing his doorbell, taking photos of him through the kitchen window. It was absolutely disgusting, and it’s all been setup by state governments who have set policies that focus on one persons actions.

Well I'm going to see if the border remains open tomorrow to go from Victoria to Tasmania tomorrow at this point. If I can't go, I can't go.

Not liking the headlines in the papers for tomorrow suggesting a lockdown is a possibility.

Disgusting. Individuals should not be identified.

100% your first paragraph. It is absolute lunacy to expect perfect compliance / no mistakes on this stuff. Just extraordinary misunderstanding of how human beings operate.

I took no Premier or CHO earlier today at Vic announcement as a good sign. Now I hear that lockdown is imminent in Victoria. I had hoped my TAS trip this evening would be able to go ahead. This is so frustrating.
