Avianca Brazil Amigo status match

Have used Snipit and printed out two copies and then laminated them together same size as credit card.along with a copy of the status match letter just incase. :D

I reckon you could do a roaring trade doing this for people for $10!

I put my request in today, a bit late to the party I know but lets see what happens

For anyone who has held Star gold before, how does it usually play out on the ground? Just present your card with BP to get priority everything?

Or can you rely on it appearing on your BP?

On my preview the date overlays other text so it looks fake. I'd have to doctor it in photoshop but then we're bordering on dodginess.

It depends a bit on the airline but, in general, if you have registered your Star Gold details on your booking, it will show up on your BP.
Occasionally - IME - it won't show on the BP but does show on the booking. I've never had a problem with priority boarding or having points credit, regardless of the airline of travel. But I do keep the *Gold card handy for Lounge access etc.

I'm trying to add my Amigo number to 2 bookings: Redemption using Krisflyer miles on Air Croatia and redemption using Avianca Lifemiles on Austrian Airlines. I can't seem to make the Amigo number "stick" with the 2 bookings. Any suggestions?

My TK (SM SG) details stuck and I didn't need to show the card.

Do you normally get access without showing card (ie just bp)?

Sorry - I've not (yet) tried crediting to Amigo. But sometimes an FF number won't stick on another airline's website. BA springs to mind! :)
Just remember to ask for the number to be changed when you check in, and double check that it shows on your BP after that. Should be fine then.

Received the email today. Matched my QR Plat/OWE to Amigo Diamond/*AG. Exactly One month after I enrolled as an amigo and applied for the promo match. Thanks Jessica Tam for spotting and AFFs for the application tips. Helpful. My A3*G drops off in a few days time. Chuffed.

Mine has just come through too! VA WP to Diamond. Very happy.

Anyone have any idea when the card will come through? Do ground staff usually accept a printed copy of the card that I've downloaded from the website?

Edit: Per other comments (and the website), definitely will be relying on the printed card!

I got matched QF WP to Amigo gold. Both Gold and Diamond are Star Alliance Gold right? No significant difference when travelling *A carriers therefore?

Not sure if anyone has any experience with the FQTV/FQTS fields but I'm trying to get my two different numbers in for some upcoming bookings on SAS:

O6 number = FQTS, for my newly minted *G status.
SQ number = FQTV, for crediting of miles.

Spoke to a couple of people at SAS who said they can't see an FQTS field, only FQTV.

Am I missing something here? I'd really like to have my *G status show up in the system so I'm not relying on the temporary card.

I'm sure others would be in the same position – unless of course O6 miles are actually incredibly valuable!

Happy to confirm that the printed card was more than enough to get it added to BP on check in.

Had to tell the guy the airline code though. Had never heard of Avianca!

Welcomed to silverkris lounge in PER with the BP but had the printout as ammo.

Unhappy to report no red lights on scan of BP. Row 57 :(

Thanks for the report exceladdict. Good to know!

Hoping I get the same experience with SAS next month.

When they added it to your BP, did that change your points-earn number so milage had to be credited to O6? Or was it secondary to your normal FF number. Hoping this might answer my previous question ;)

Has anyone received a plastic card?
If so, how long did it take?
