I recontacted them to say there was availability using separate sectors with SQ on return flights (via lifemiles website) however they said they had no availability ??

Replied on the 'lifemiles general discussion' thread.

After I was too slow to book my planned TK flights home from Egypt and the availability dried up, I went with CAI-VIE-BKK-PER (OS, OS, TG) in J, 47K plus $655.07US via screenshot.

Here is why I love using LM, classic good value itinerary:

TLV-FRA LH A321 J (6hr stopover)
FRA-MUC LH A321 J (3hr stopover)
MUC-HKG LH A380 F (23hr stopover)
HKG-BKK TG B777 J (3hr stopover)
BKK-SYD TG B747 F

115k miles + $168 taxes.

Long stopover in FRA to do the 3hr Porsche challenge then relax in the F terminal. Another stopover in MUC to visit the F lounge followed by overnight in HKG to do some work and catch up with friends. Flying back home via BKK, with just enough time to enjoy the fantastic TG ground services.

Well done that is a great effort. Booked less than 3 days before departure?

Did you use screenshots? They allow mixed cabin on SS now?

LH F bookable via LM >15 days out. Bloggers all over it this evening. Anyone up for a Panamera transfer across the FRA/MUC tarmac to your flight?? :p

That’s why my flight was 100% full in F... Got used to fly on almost empty cabins with LH.

The new Panamera fleet is beautiful. Got driven twice in FRA upon landing and departure, then once in MUC from the lounge. My chauffeur in MUC was actually the supervisor and after he found out the boarding was slightly delayed he offered to take me for 20 minutes scenic drive around the airport. That was an incredible experience, especially since he was also an avgeek and knew a lot about planes.

PEK-PUS CA J

122k miles plus $US215 for two pax.

Interestingly adding another sector slightly reduced the total mileage required, pricing CA F just 11k more than J.
