TIL that if you combine the right Y and J/F segments you can save on the cost of the overall cost vs just straight booking the premium leg. Ehat an interesting program to go the long way and save.

I always called around 9am in the morning. Weekdays better too so I would wait until Tuesday morning to call.

You’ll need lifemiles, i don’t think the call centre can do it.

From memory they are supposed to be open at 7am, but I don’t think they get there until 8. And finish at 5?

So yes, first thing in the morning Aussie time is probably going to do it.

Personally I’ve found them pretty good to deal with in person but that cancellation fee is huge compared to other programs.

Well then I’ve got over 400,000 reasons to hate myself. I’m working on some self improvement so hopefully that number reduces in time.

314,100 reasons to hate myself. When I purchased the miles there was far better availability with SQ, OZ, TG, NZ ex Australia.

What do you think of UA availability on LM?

Looks to be the only carrier that has decent availability (or matches Aeroplan or Velocity). Not sure if it's phantom or legit as I haven't booked UA on Lifemiles before

Anyone can give me some help/advice on how to avoid this at checking out page please. Keep getting error after selecting if I want to pay all in points or points+money. Selected Points options, clicking next and getting this error.

IME, it’s one of several error messages that basically means it can’t be ticketed. Very likely due to phantom award space.

Super frustrating huh. Especially if you’ve already made other non-refundable bookings around it.

lol… that would be the ultimate revenge on scammers… give them your LM number and get them to try and actually book something!
