re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

Got SMS this morning from WestPac saying my Black CC was temporary blocked due to some suspicious recent activity.
When I called to check I was told the Falcon team detected some suspicious transfers to a Colombian company... LOL

New credit card, hey?

I think that means they haven't been ticketed yet...just leave them alone for now I'd say.

And it appears it is now confirmed when checking on SQ 'Manage my booking'

Grabbed the A380 J up to SIN for next Friday so happy with that.

Nice!

Get the A380 before it disappears from MEL in Oct! :(

Your booking always was 'confirmed' of course, just not ticketed...website was just using the wrong lingo.

ticketed is what I meant. :) Was planning to do MEL-SIN-CAN but overnight the MEL-SIN sector (Not A380) was snapped up so it's all worked out in the end.

We discussed here at work about fares for this trip, was going to spend ~$1200 on a Y fare... thankfully LM had this promo and allows one-ways. For about $1700 all up flying J. Should make the week in CAN a little more bearable.

Just booked TPE - BKK in J next march then BKK - SYD in F.

Hopign they might have an A380 on the route, but sounds like the 747 F is pretty close

Got to love that F Toilet with seating area on the A380 though.

Anyoe know if there's much trouble in booking your spa treatment? be nice to have a massage for the night flight

Which airline? TG?

If you are asking about TG, just book the spa treatment when you arrive in the lounge. I have never been knocked back.
It's certainly a great way to relax before the flight home.

While I haven't flown the A380 in F I did fly 747 F the other week on this route and it was great. Being an overnight flights all you need is a nice comfortable bed and I slept very well.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

Thanks

Just worked out on the TG website that in J you can go for the foot or neck & shoulder massage. Definitely give that a go when I fly wit them in October

I slept amazingly well on this flight, best I ever have on a plane bar none.

First Avianca booking made today!

Gives me a cheap J ticket to TYO and flexibility that I didn't have with my cancelled QF ticket (i.e more than 1 date in all of Jan). Thanks everyone!

TG: PER-BKK-HND on TG. ANA from BKK was also given as an option.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to add an infant on to a booking? Looking at two adults YYZ-YVR next year. Would one do this by calling LifeMiles, or by calling Air Canada?

Technically you need to call the operating carrier, but their have been reports of Aviancas call centre helping. I would ring AC, domestic flights with infant not taking a seat are free.

Thanks Markis. I know it's often 10% but free is even better. I am going to buy the miles now with the 2x1 promotion but was slightly reticent about the idea of calling the LifeMiles call centre and getting them to issue an infant fare!
