re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

I cant seem to get any EVA J seats to USA anymore. As of a couple weeks ago was normal to find up to 4 J seats to US from TPE 11 months out, but now nothing. Anyone know whats happening?

Finding lots of UA seats on UA and NH that aren't showing up in lifemiles lately, too. And reading on FT, this has been common and also BR is not the only one that has had availability missing for the past month or so. That being said, I'm seeing good BR availability out of SEA lately and some comments are that BR phantom space is due to their new 77Ws on certain routes. FWIW.

Seeing reasonably good BR availability, albeit t-14, from SIN too.

How do you manually change departure time? I see four time options in the drop down, and the website does not let me manually change the time.

I can see using browser tools to select a time would be useful if there are many available flights and you want the engine to show you a particular one. But in the case of a day that shows no availability, does this manage to somehow encourage more availability by choosing a specific departure time besides the 4 options in the dropdown?

Yes, apparently it does.

Thanks. I don't know how to use those tools, but that's pretty interesting and makes sense why I've seen people ask about it from time to time.
I am no IT person, but someone had mentioned that you can use Firefox and some developer tools for Firefox for this

Has the transfer fee @ USD17.70 per 1000 miles transferred gone up? With the curent promo, you are buying miles at USD 0.0177 per mile which is more than the previous USD 0.015 per mile IIRC.

This is (unfortunately) correct.

No it's not. We have this discussion almost every promo, but the 17.70 is the maximum price paid where local taxes are applicable...that is as far as I know in a couple of South American countries. The price for almost everyone else is still USD15 per 1000.

Yes you are right!! I keep forgetting. Time for a top up of my accounts I guess...just need to check on my TF limits.

The price for the next transfer promo is likely to be USD16.50 per 1000 though in line with the upcoming increase in the cost of miles.

Thanks for reminder:) I need to calculate how much of the annual 150K limit I have used this year for our 2 accounts, and top up accordingly:)

If I have already bought 150K miles this year, can I still have 150K miles TF to me from +1s account?

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

So I have one account with 25000 miles in it but its my only one and i assume its too late to open another, so whose up for some sharing???

Not sure that's the case. It was a feature of early LM promos but the condition - account opened before promo starts - has long since disappeared from the T&Cs.

re: Avianca "Life Miles" - New FF program in *A

Could be a bit screwed if i try it and it doesn't work...

:(

Sorry, I have been on the road for a while and may have missed something ~ is this upcoming increase documented somewhere?

With thanks,

tb
