Well it was inevitable they would catch-up with Shanye and others, particularly after they broadcast it.

To me it's surprising that these fixes have been made at the same time as the award chart changes. It's suggests they've known about them for a while but preferred to make all the changes at once...so they've been happily let people make SAW bookings at knock down prices for how long? You'd think it would be an easy enough fix without having to wait?

I have just made a booking with life miles and was wondering how I can make a seat selection ,,, The airlines I am on are SQ ,,, I have tried manage my booking with SQ so I can do a seat selection buy it will not let me.. I have searched for manage my bookings on Avianca but am unable to find.. Any help appreciated

you can select your seat directly with the SQ site. If the main one doesn't work, try the mobile site. You can also book the cook.

The SQ manage booking engine can take a couple of attempts to get through to (no idea why).

I just spoke with SQ to do the seat selection ,,, They said the flight has not been ticketed yet ,,, any idea how long life miles take to advise of ticketing??

I booked SQ a few weeks back, the ticketing took about 24 hours. Once ticketed I could select seats etc on the SQ site.

Ah - yes. SQ and LM ticketing! I forgot about that.

You need to keep a close eye on it. SQ has a ticketing deadline of around 72 hours, after which they may cancel your ticket (but the reservation will still show normally)

If you don't receive the ticket from LM by then you need to chase it up.

Just booked mates of ours on MEl-BKK-FCO in J one way. 85K in points and 92USD is taxes incluindg booking fee. Travel is for Sept 2015

Thanks for that,,, ticket came through from life miles about 12 hours after I purchased it. So all good now. Can go on the SQ site and manage my booking with no problems.

I haven't reviewed the award chart but HKG-xBKK-SYD is 50K in TG F whilst BKK-SYD is 60K

Yup, North Asia (includes HKG) is 50k, South Asia, 60k...go figure! At least TYO-BKK-SYD is also 50k...that's a lot of F flying!

Exactly, now the games changed and Australia to Japan or vv in F looks very very enticing (if you can find the seat though).

Hi all,

I have made a booking with LM 2 days ago and received the e-ticket from LM (PEK-xHKG-SIN with CA and SQ and SIN-PEK with SQ)
I have tried various time to Manage my booking on SQ but without success.. Any idea?

In addition, I have another flight booked and noticed that the first and last name is reversed.
The call center asked me to cancel and re-book it but no guarantee if I can book the same flight. What should I do?

Exactly, now the games changed and Australia to Japan or vv in F looks very very enticing (if you can find the seat though).

One of the rare enhancements that actually works in our favour. I set my alarm to make a Japan booking post October 15 to take advantage of this reduction (with the re-re-introduction of TG F SYD-BKK), but with the JAL F Dec-Mar window open for a limited time I've gone US/AA miles. Will revert to LM thereafter when we lose JL F

Thanks to TG changes many weeks ago to remove TG F to Australia causing me to voluntarily cancel my UA award, I have now rebooked the same sectors HKG-xBKK-SYD (ableit two days after the original bookings) using LM. The balance of UA points will be to book the same route next August.

Just booked 2x CA F SYD-PEK-SYD to visit the in-laws in Beijing during Xmas/NY this year.

Total Cost 200,000 miles + $200 in taxes = (net cost of circa $3200, approx 80% off retail price)

Air China has F availability between Dec, 11 2014 - March, 5 2015



These tickets are selling for $8000+ per pax, Having said that not many people actually pay retail for F flights.

We're an interesting bunch here and one or a handful might be very tempted to go the long way

About a year ago I was searching for iirc ZRH-HKT flights, and expecting ZRH-xBKK-HKT .... I get offered ZRH-xBKK-xCPH-HKT. I posted a screen shot of the routing. I would have booked if I could find F but CPH-HKT is only a two class plane and I don't want to spend 40hours travelling in J
