Re: Rumour:[Denied by RR] Qantas to ban JQ SYD-MEL pax from F lounges & send to J lou

Hopefully thats the case, just checked my e-tickets and it shows as $50 cancell fee

How did you check your e-tickets? (Mine never seem to be sent by e-mail, is there another way to check?)

Re: Rumour:[Denied by RR] Qantas to ban JQ SYD-MEL pax from F lounges & send to J lou

The $200 refund fee is listed on the LifeMiles website so it is real and not an issue with CMT etc.

Bugger if it sticks.

Why are the post headers "Re: Rumour:[Denied by RR] Qantas to ban JQ SYD-MEL pax from F lounges & send to J lou"??

Cross posting and such - yours is the same. When you reply select Advanced and you can change the title of the message.

Relax mate. I wasn't seeking glory and credit. Wow. Over reaction much. Next time I'll be sure to attribute the screen shot to you. You have my word. These forums are all about sharing information.

Another frustrating call to LM. My booking isn't associated with my LM account. They need to call me back in 12 hours. I won't be here. Nevermind, 'you have one year' she said. Said the cancellation fee was still USD50. I asked if there were any plans to change this... she said 'no', but I'm not sure she understood.

Re: LifeMiles cancellations may have just quadrupled in price

I just called to cancel some other tickets, and it was handled very efficiently.

I then asked about the $200 cancellation fee that is showing for my latest booking, and was told that the change to the higher fee was made two days ago.

So for what that's worth.

Re: LifeMiles cancellations may have just quadrupled in price

If you look at the T&C's for Lifemiles, last sentence has a statement that changes were made on 8 February 2017. Fortunately I have a screen shot of previous T&C's (part of an insurance claim) which showed the $50 cancellation charge. This has now gone, with a replacement comment about it depending on route etc. So definitely has changed....presume old tickets which state $50 remain that and new tickets have new charges....pity....

re: Avianca "Lifemiles" - Questions and Discussion

Just received a ticket this morning, it states $50 cancellation at the bottom as per usual??

Re: LifeMiles cancellations may have just quadrupled in price

sure - but credit where credit is due doesn't exactly take more than a sentence/ 10 seconds!

yes, and I updated the post in question to reflect that soon after the error of my ways was pointed out..
A simple PM outlining the poster's concerns would have sufficed, not an abusive post for all to see. Seems expectations of courtesy and etiquette are reserved for the self appointed elite. It works both ways.

You live and learn. Tough audience.

Gday

I thought someone posted recently about this but checked back through the threads and couldnt find anything: are Avianca allowing us to book mixed class redemptions via the screenshot method? I would like to fly F but there is only J available on the first leg so i am happy to fly J-F. Anyone got any recent experience with this? All of my screenshot bookings have been J only trips.

Thanks.

Pele.

No, not allowed.

Re: LifeMiles cancellations may have just quadrupled in price

The logic I see so far is that,
- cancel fee varies between F , J and Y redemptions.
- intra-region is USD 100/ticket/person to refund. as per the site (F & J award)
- inter-region is USD 200/ticket/person to refund. as per the site (F award. J is USD 100)

- Existing tickets are not affected (tickets still show USD 50/ticket).
- Call-center is still clueless and they still say USD 50/ticket
