Aww how pretty, a little yellow tag

i have found when in F or J i don't always get a tag on my bag anyway, but then as it appears to make little difference to when the bag comes out at i don't worry about it.

LAX has certainly improved over the years and seems to work pretty well, the new TBIT is built and is fitted out, next stage to demolish the old one and new one emerges from the rubble (well behind it anyway)

I went for a period where tags were being removed at BNE, not sure what was going on but decided to not worry about it, the only time I do is on checkin when the agent often does not put them on, especially when I am connecting to an International flight which is frequent, for some reason I dont like BNE international ;)

Do they still have purple business or the orange priority tags on QF anymore?

SG are supposed to get business right?

It seems they just print it on the label, doesn't look as nice as the old tags. AA give you an orange priority tag for Ruby.

For QF domestic, SG get priority printed in a circle on the bag tags, the old bright tags that get stuck between the bag tags are no longer used. As for the square business logo on the bag tags that's only for business class pax.

For QF intl, SG get a bright pink business tag that attached between the bag tag.

For AA, anyone with OW status gets a bright (yellow?) priority tag attached to their bag tags.

:( Didn't get this when flying QF Intl with DOM connection. Just got the printed priority circle in black, which is next to useless. I asked at the counter - Me - "Do I get one of the pink tags as SG" check in agent - "No they're only for business"

They work, my brother somehow managed to keep two BA orange priority ones on his. Coming back to Melb on JQ30 his were waiting at the carosel as soon as through customs, EK removed/lost the one which was on mine and it didn't come out for another 15-20mins. Both loaded at same time.

I wonder what the check in agent would say if you brought your own tag along :)

I have left them on before, like the CX ones which are separate to the luggage tags. I have a photo somewhere of priority/J/F etc. for OW, *A and ST + non-aligned all coexisting on the same bag. DYKWIA bag strikes again.

LAX only has it's 'stuff' together cause DHS takes so long to process pax. By the time you're done queueing for 45-60 minutes to have your finger prints taken, photo taken and cough probe given, you're going to want to have your bags ready ;)

Last time I flew into LAX (in July) I was through immigration and customs, had my bags, and was out of the airport in a car within 15 minutes of landing. Admittedly that's unusual, but my bags were waiting for me (with the yellow tags).

One time we were flying on a JQ domestic red eye ADL-MEL and learnt a terrific trick with baggage. We had been out on the town and enjoyed a few drinks the night before and my partner was feeling the after effects. This became very apparent when she expelled her stomach contents on the floor at the front of the check in queue. The check in agent called his supervisor, concerned whether she would be fit to fly. The supervisor attached a Fragile Tag to our bags and sent them to be held, checked us in and told us to confirm that my partner was feeling better before boarding to ensure our bags get loaded.

When we got to MEL our bags were first off with their fragile tags hanging proudly. I figure it was because they were the last on.

However, it was more an act of laziness than anything when I left the fragile tags on the bags for the flight home. On arriving in adelaide..... first off yet again.

Although we don't fly very often, the fragile tag remains on our bags and for 2 more flights the same has been true.... first off the carousel!

I always feel nauseous near a JQ check in desk, but it's not alcohol related:D

Good experience yesterday on QF127 SYD-HKG. Flying whY. Yellow tags added at First check-in, and bag was in the first 5-10 on the carousel at HKG

So as a WP, if your first connection doesn't have First class, you don't get the yellow tag? Surely it is the last leg that matters?

I normally fly QF to SIN and then onto DXB for EU-bound flights and haven't seen a yellow tag.

On the way back, checking in at the Emirates First desk, I had to ask the agent to put tags on our bags - in a huff she put a Business Class tag, which is useless anyway as it's grey/blue - and she put it on the Arabic side up on one of them which is obviously more useless arriving into SYD.

Sure enough, had to wait ~30 mins for the tag with the Arabic text showing.

Checked in at the service desk at BNE dom yesterday for my J BNE-MEL-LHR flight (an Op Up to F would have been nice, still at zero on that score since becoming P1). Was only given the standard J bag tag. When I stated that WP/P1 should get a yellow F tag, I received the standard 'I have worked here for five years and never given WP's F tags before' line.

Will probably not make a difference when I get to LHR however.....

5 years... I'd get the manager onto that one or at least send in some feedback. That's 5 years too long.
