If you stuff up your pin 3 times in a row, are they likely to suspend the account? I'm just wondering if I should try to reverse charge phone them and or go out and try the card again with the correct pin?

Prolly just lock you out for 24 hours in my exp.

Not satisfactory but maybe try the pin again, then if need be make the inevitable call.
Bet you'd be lucky to get them to accept reverse charge though?

Good Luck

Ok, thanks I'll try it agin tomommorw and see what happens. Fortunately, I'm back in Aus on Monday. It's just such a bloody nuisance if they cancel it as all my direct debits go to this card and we just got a supp card too. When I get so many cards, I can get a bit confused on the pins, that the downside of generous sign on bonuses. ;)

i've have never had a card cancelled before.

Well we have been riding the crest of the wave in London with the pound sterling dropping fast. The pin does not work so we just sign each docket.

I only have had the pin option on my card. I emailed BW but did not expect an answer as it's Easter, but I did get hear back already that it will be reinstated after 24 hours. Phew.

In England we have had to sign each transaction for both Platinum and World even though we have PINs. So different that the US and UK do this.

I just received my last statement and, as of 20 June 2016, BW are devaluing the earn rate on the Platinum and World QF cards to 0.5 and 0.66 points per $ respectively.

Hi guys,

any way to "force" an invite to the world card?
been with them for ~6 months and spending on average $20k a month on the platinum

I called the 1300 number and made an appointment at a branch. The staff member printed off the page and I signed it.
My Platinum card was full and at zero balance as I was capped out on points earn this year. You need a $12,000 credit limit on your Platinum card for the upgrade.

I just went into the local branch, mentioned the World Card citing this forum and the Branch Manager looked into my account, printed off a form and that was it. Good luck!

I've upgraded in the last month.

I sent them a bankmail in online banking asking 1) If I could upgrade and 2) If I did, would they waive the annual fee.

They came back and said yes to the upgrade straight away (as long as the limit was $12k or greater) and that they would check on a fee waiver for the first year. Came back a few days later with a yes to that as well and sent me the form, which I signed and sent back through bankmail.

It took a while for the card to come (perhaps it came from WA by non-priority mail), but all up and running now.

thanks guys, have now sent them a "bankmail".

got a reply, happy to upgrade me but no reduction in annual fee :(
