So, the BW World Master card which does not have the word 'More' in it's title, will also get these benefits?

Does the SPG Gold renew each year, or is it first year only?

Thanks,

It's a single stay shortcut to attain Gold, but you need to retain against the usual SPG requirements. That said, if it lapses, you might well be able to apply and start again, but not using the same MC card number. A supplementary card, perhaps.

I got Gold this way many years ago and then did it again a couple of years later on the same SPG account, but with a different World MC. YMMV.

Cheers,
Matt.

Hi all, I have the Bankwest More World card. It apparently comes with LoungeKey. Has anyone used LoungeKey? Will they let kids in as a guest?

Thanks!

How a lounge handles children is lounge specific.
(And LoungeKey is more or less a electronic version of Priority Pass)

This card is one of our favourites that we don’t churn. I never knew why it was such a struggle to get it but it works for home and away with fair exchange rates.

how does loungekey access actually work with this card?
so you just pay/swipe your bankwest black card where loungekey is accepted?
or show them the app? or something else?

Yes I think so... i will go to a lounge in a couple of weeks and can confirm. I would say have the app ready on your smartphone as well

so can anyone confirm how the loungkey access works please?

Never done it, but I understand you need to register the card first.
Then present it and identify yourself as a lounge key member.

thanks, yeah thats what I've read too.

I got a letter today about the Qantas World MasterCard that it now earns 1 point per dollar up to $5,000/statement, and then .5 points per dollar after that.

Much better for me than the 0.66 points per dollar now given that I almost never go above $5,000 a month on that card.

Nothing online yet about it yet...

Correct - register it online, then at the lounge tell them you have loungekey and present the card.

For those playing along, the LoungeKey benefit is being changed to 10 visits per year, down from unlimted.
