Confused, has anyone else been in debt in regards to QFF points?

Closing balance of QFF Points = -11,000 ish.

Not really worried, as it seems (would need to ask or go through history) extra pojnts may have been sent to QFF previously.

Applied a week ago. No sign of the card yet. Although over the weekend I received an email asking me to send payslips (which I did at the time of the application). Not sure if this is a stuff up by Bankwest or an automated response gone wrong.

Anyone have this happen to them?

Can anyone indicate how long after their application they received their card?

I applied and was approved last Wednesday morning and was asked to email payslips, which I did shortly thereafter. To date, I still haven't seen the credit card account appear in Online Banking. I was a little impatient and called them on Friday afternoon to see if the payslips had been received OK and they told me they had and to wait until the following Wednesday - by then the card should have been processed. Perhaps a backlog?

Two weeks after I made the application I had a call from BankWest asking me what the payout figure was on the salary sacrificed motor vehicle I had. Ridiculous question to ask. I had no idea and they got all stroppy because I couldn’t answer their question. BankWest person was extremely aggressive and wouldn’t listen to anything I had to say about how inappropriate this question was and why they would have waited two weeks to raise it.

Never been asked such a question and clearly it has no relevance at all.

Application still not processed. Probably going to be refused because I couldn’t supply the information.

Avoid BankWest is my advice!

so this card is only good for the bonus, then cancel after 4-5 months?0.75/$

If you're happy to 'churn & burn' then you might also want to look at the Westpac & NAB Qantas Rewards cards. Right now they're offering No Fee First Year, with 60000 points (WBC) and 40000 points (NAB).
i applied for both in the last couple of days- 100000 of the easiest pints ever.

What actual westpac card did you apply for?

Just looked on their website, can't see anything about qff or bonus points/fee free.

Only about altitude rewards or something.

My apologies, I failed to mention that the WBC offer is 'internal only', not advertised. All I did was to ring the call centre and say that I'd heard about the first year fee free offer, and it was plain sailing from there.
The specific card is the Altitude Qantas Black.

Or don't disclose it at all next time? Ever get queried and you 'simply forgot'.

When completing applications for CCs we just put down as little as possible.

We've come to learn most of the 'robots' that process these applications are unable to comprehend, or rather make use of anything outside of 'normal' data provided to them. And they really only know what you tell them.

Now I'm not saying start lying but rather may be no need to tell them what you had for breakfast.

After-all, I presume that
1. it's only a credit card &
2. you, being a member of the AFF community have enough personal responsibility that you wouldn't consume a product that you know will give you constipation afterwards

So tick their boxes in the way they need them ticket and then you'll avoid the response of "computer says no".

Happy churning. 3 down this year already. It is going to be a bumper year for J travel at this rate.

I didn't disclose it. The deducted amount is listed on the payslip you need to supply them.

Just following up on my post 13, my experience could not have been more different, I had one of the most simplest, fastest, most polite and almost instantaneous approvals ever. I gave glowing feedback on Carlos the agent as I did it all on the phone. I have spent my $2500 and look forward to the bounty.

Sadly, what you have experienced reminds me of the total failure I had dealing with Citibank who put 2 enquires on my credit file and then turned me down as those robots would not accept even with perfect documentary evidence that I take my annual pay in arrears.

Do you already have a BW transaction account?

Now been three weeks since I applied. Have heard nothing more. Exceptionally poor level of customer service from BankWest.

This card would be perfect if it were not for the 0.75 QFF points per dollar spend.

Anyone had ATO success on the BW card at all?

I haven't seen any points as yet but I expect to wait the full 3 months. They are not taking any payment out of my account for the first month either.

Just decided to browse through THIS thread, as I've got an 'issue' on the other BankWest thread ( about the QANTAS Transaction account ).

Amazing the difference in attitude, between users of BW's credit card products, and the BW transaction account users ...

Why is this ???

Almost everyone on the 'other' thread totally agrees with everything BW does / says ... here, people have a 'lesser' opinion of them ??
