Including outside Westfield shopping centres?

Yes. It functions the same as a prepaid visa. In the last 2 months I have used one at a post office in a non-Westfield shopping centre to pay a couple of different bills as well as a Queensland Transport office to renew a drivers licence.

Two months and two statements in. Points are accruing but no sign of bonus points or a transfer of standard points yet. Am expecting standard points to transfer in a month’s time when I’ve met the two month account opening minimum. Am partially expecting the bonus points to come through closer to the 5 month mark!! 😑

Applied for this card on the 2 August and only got a phone call confirming some details on 15 August. Not sure if others had this experience but one of the questions asked was to put an estimate on the $ value of the clothes I had in my possession!?!

FYI for those who are wanting to apply
rang them earlier in the month - they are going to be delays in process the applications due to so many ppl applying for it....so might take a week longer than usual if your after it

Nope @jc14 i didnt have that problem. I just put the lowest amount $1 i think. Didn't even have a phone call from them at all. Went through like a breeze.

I sent them a message through the app to query this, just to see if they could give me a more accurate date and explaining I was aware of the 60-day initial waiting period.

I opened mine in early June (application was early June, card received probably a couple of weeks later). They gave me a date in early Sept for first transfer of accrued points, then monthly on that same date going forward. Re the bonus, they just confirmed qualified, and will be transferred within 5 months. Good enough for me, they've confirmed I'll get when I'm due.

Good to hear, I applied about the same time and am in same situation. I'll probably keep this card for another 18 months or so as the no foreign transaction fees are handy for some OS travel I recently did and will be doing more of in 2020. Hopefully the bonus points post a bit sooner than 5 months, but I suppose I can wait

After conditional approval online, I received an email 10 working days later saying the card is being sent out.

A question about eligible purchases. T&Cs say it does not include "BPAY payments; i.e bill payments and other payments made through the BPAY Electronic Payments Scheme"

Has anyone tried using postbillpay or billpoint to confirm they also don't earn points? I'm presuming it wouldn't because afterall they are still bill payments.

Fairly sure these would count as purchases and earn points as such. By 'bill payments' they're specifically meaning BPay bill payments (as in they're using bill payments as an example of a BPay transaction), rather than bills paid directly using the card.

It may not be quite that simple. It's entirely true that the mechanism is what the T&Cs are referring to here (using BPay, not paying bills per se) but there's a whole other provision that may exclude using postbillpay (for earning points at least, not entirely sure about qualifying for min spend) which is the fact that Australia Post is classified as a Government entity/spend and using postbillpay may be excluded based on that provision.

The safest approach is to pay the vendor directly via their website, if they allow it. If they're a Government or Semi-Government entity (such as a council) this will likely still trigger the above exclusion.

It's the fun of Credit Card T&Cs...

That said, the key difference in all of the above is that BPay is universally excluded from both qualifying as minimum spend and earning points, whereas many of the examples above may qualify for min spend but will not earn points on top of that for the transaction.

True, although a lot of PBP transactions can be made via PayPal, which could circumvent that (I've never known PayPal to be treated as anything but a Purchase by any issuer).

But you're right, all part of the fun and games we play.

I received my card in mid June. Still no points either. Let us know when points post. I'll do the same.

How much have you spent in total?
I made the minimum spend in the second month, with no help from paying my council rates which don't earn points on this card I found out from experience. My next statement is due this week, so I will see what happens.

Up to my third statement now, and have definitely crossed the 2 month period for the transfer of normal points. However none have been transferred. Would expect that normal points be transferred within the next month at some stage.

I’m in the same boat. My 3rd statement and still no points hitting my account.

Let's hope they are late on the 5 months as per the T&C's. Extra points always help.

I contacted them via the app. They said the account has to be open for 60 days before you receive points. Which mine has. They said points are received on 5th or 6th of each month. So I should receive mine in September.

I got a response before, my third statement has hit today, but they previously said they’d be sent over on 5/9, then on 5 of each month after that. Can take up to 21 days from then to appear, but is usually much quicker, apparently.

I’ve got other cards which sweep points over (Hilton) on a set date about two weeks after the statement date, so this isn’t that unusual (although the 60 day waiting period is).
