How long did it take to receive base points? I received my first statement but no base on bonus points yet
They won’t hit until after 60 days and then only on 5th or 6th of the month.
I received mine after my 3rd statement.

This is correct, was also confirmed to me be a Bankwest CS officer, and is my experience. My third statement was produced about a fortnight ago.

Base points came on second statement (did not reach minimum spend for bonus then, was $100 short :( ).

3rd statement got generated 2 days ago, and can confirm today that bonus 90K plus spend hit QF account today.

I think I read you need to have it for 60 days and two statement cycles before they credit.

I received the card on June 25 which was the same day the first statement came. So no actually spend until second statement. Third statement was August 26. All base points arrive today.

So I've had two statements, one was just after I got my card with 0 , second one was yesterday but no points yet. I should expect points in the next statement right?

Yeah, sounds like you haven't passed their 60 day threshold yet. So it should be about 10 days after your next statement.

Just noticed i received more points than the total amount in my statements.

Anyone else seem to get points from the current statement cycle?

Yes, however it corresponds exactly to the total listed on my last statement, plus the amount I should earn based on the spend since statement date up until today, so looks like the statement shows the balance at that date, and you're credited based on cleared transactions as of 4/5 of each month.

Hmmm, my 4th statement should be ready tomorrow. I took out the card in June and hit the mimimum spend for the bonus points by late July. First statement came with the card, so the one tomorrow is really the 3rd statement with something to pay. I've just checked my ff account and I've finally been credited some points (10,001) from bankwest, presumably for the spending, but still no sign of the bonus points. Reckon I should call them or wait another month?

I tried for a BankWest card for overseas travel, due to the lack of overseas fees. Looks like Bankwest doesn't like retired people.Even though I filled the required criteria, my credit card payment record is very positive, I have several cards and no problem getting them or paying them - Bankwest refused the application because we "Don't have a steady income" I couldn't show a weekly 'payslip', and therefore refused. So, Bankwest doesn't like old people, Bankwest doesn't like people who don't bank with them, or Bankwest doesn't like old people who don't bank with them!!

Move on...I applied for and was approved for a Coles Platinum Mastercard, told them I was retired and only put down my Super pension; left out other sources of income to keep it simple.

No fees on overseas spending, earns 2 Fly Buys per $ = 0.87 Velocity (or 1 Vel if you wait for a 15% transfer bonus) = 0.65 Kris Flyer.

However, note there is a fee on ATM cash withdrawals overseas (I use Citi+ for those:))

I wouldn't bother calling them yet, they'll just tell you what the T&Cs say, that the points will post within 5 months of opening if the criteria has been met. Criteria has obviously been met since you've received the base points now, so the bonus should turn up in due course.

Bankwest take their time, but in my experience they do what they say they will (I'm still waiting for the bonus too, same situation as you, third statement passed, base points received, fourth statement due soon).

Some banks have seemingly weird criteria, as JV says, I'd move on. For example, Macquarie won't approve anything for me, no idea why, but I've never been successful with an application for a Mac backed card, despite being fine everywhere else.

+1 from me as to what JV says, re the Coles Rewards Mastercard (not Platinum Mastercard, that's just all Coles cards with a limit of 6k+). They have three versions, only the Black one (Rewards MC) is fee free overseas afaik. This has a $99 fee, but also gives pretty good rewards for a cheap Mastercard product.

This is the one I was referring to: Coles Financial Services

Yes it's black, and is called the Coles Platinum Rewards Mastercard.

So it is, my mistake. I assume this has been a change since Citibank took it over, I've had the card for many years, and Wesfarmers only called them Platinum when they were issued with a $6k credit limit.

Applied on Aug 23rd, conditionally approved for World MC pending payslips which I emailed that afternoon. Email today saying card will arrive in 5-10 business days.
Slowest ever!!

Card finally arrived today.
Does anyone know if water bills count towards min spend & earn points? I can’t see a clear answer. TIA!

If your water co will accept payment via Postbillpay, pay it that way using PayPal, to be sure. That’s what I did, and it was fine (same with rates, and various other things).

A water bill earned points for me. Not sure if it counts toward the minimum spend because it's too soon to tell.
You would think that any point earning transactions count toward the minimum.....

Update re bonus points, OH's statement was produced yesterday (statement 4), bonus points were shown as being earned, and will presumably now transfer in the next cycle (5/10).
