issuing World cards means they get to charge the super-premium interchange rate, so they'll presumably be pushing them pretty hard soon.

My offer says no change to the intetest rate.
I received my letter today to upgrade for free. They must be targeting all existing Platinum card holders who have the required minimum credit limit. BW offered me an increase months ago, but I only took it up when I heard about this new card so that I would qualify.
Are there any information on what the minimum credit limit it is to qualify for this card?
Interest rate isn't mentioned by rweir.
Merchants pay more to accept premium cards like platinum and world cards.
Imagine sign says, no Gold, Platinum or higher cards accepted.
Got the new card in the mail today, comes with a booklet outlining features, and a CD with terms and conditions. Activated card online and working fine. Now have two entries in online banking though, so seems like the Plat card is still active at least for the time being.
Card looks okay, better then the Plat one. Think it would've looked better with a grey/silver Mastercard logo.
Did you get a letter confirming the annual fee, interest rates, credit limit etc? I requested a transfer from my Zero card (no rewards, but no fee either) and I have a World MasterCard showing in online banking. I'd be interested in knowing if the no fee will carry through given the contract variation I had to tick stated the fee would be the same.
Does Zero come with "World" version as well, I thought only More and Qantas do.

I don't think so, which is why I'm trying my luck here to get a Qantas one for free.
I doubt, and you might end up paying new annual fee. It is not upgrade, it is actually a product switch.
